I dunno exactly how I'm gonna get to 50 as a bow/healer, but I'll try just about everything and pick whatever I can handle and is the fastest.

I'm always getting stuck being the cure whore in Big Red II, so I just full time mage for that from now on since it seems mages are still pretty rare. I've been seeing Elemental Mages rape shit pretty bad, too, lol. Grinding to GR9 isn't that bad at all, it's actually going quicker than I thought it would now that I finally got around to it. 26k(or however many points BRII gives) every 4min been making this a cake walk pretty much.

Because I have a water weapon for Big Red II, I found the best spot was the fire section of King of Dragons II at GR9. There are around 12-15 fire elementals and scorpions, that respawn roughly every 9 minutes. 9 minutes is enough time to kill them all with a 1 AC combo (inspire helps), use placid to rebuild AC, and go back to where you started the run. Chill for a minute til they spawn, if needed depending on your speed. repeat. At lvl 49 I was gettin just over 7k per run. 7k per 9 minutes while I'm not sure ti's the absolute fastest, is pretty damn good. The quest lasts 90 minutes, which is enough time for at least one level, like I started at 49 even (well like 300 exp), and hit 50 with ~20 minutes left.

I'm just running loops of the Fire and Ice areas with the Djinn's Greataxe and Ice Carver and I went from 42-47 in less than an hour.

Mages will get less rare as people progress above GR10, the enemies (especially dragons) in those don't take a lot of damage from attacks or elements that aren't their weaknesses. Makes boss fights a lot more strategic.

120k from GR8. Killed the Wind Dragon on Memorial 2 a few minutes ago. Pretty fun with no dedicated healer.

Maurice is with me and we come to a direspider and I'm like, well least I get to go back to logic stone so I can abort. Motherfucker starts healing me, so I start spamming sky fang. Like ten minutes later the thing dies and I get like 3k exp, lol.

I've been reading a lot about this game is it as bad as everyone says it is ? I was planning on renting it but I'm a bit hesitant because of all the bad reviews.

It's terrible actually. This entire thread, it's only so big because we're sitting around complaining about how bad the game is. Most of us completely regret buying it at this point, we're just posting on BG to vent our frustrations about how right IGN was about the game.

At 49 and G8, I've found that Best Served Cold II is the best place to get XP. If you make a counter clockwise circle between the first two areas there are a ton of mobs to kill. The mobs only give 186 exp, but there are a lot of them and they are close together.

I was doing the escort quest for levels last night, because of the dedicated healer.

After a while I decided to try out the GR8 Flandar Trail quest... and apparently the Basilisk on the south part of the map are some kind of sub quest mob or something, because they respawn about every 30 seconds. I might try farming exp there when I get off work and see how fast I can get EXP.
