Let's be honest though. You guys grinding the hell out of this game, do you really see yourself playing this after you get max rank and all the stuff you want which will probably be in about in another month or two? The only reason I say that is because of the lineup of this year. It's probably not being traded in and what not much until everyone gets what they want out of the game which doesn't necessarily mean the game is good.

I'm sure as hell not getting max rank anytime soon lol It takes way too much points to get max rank, that and I'm not touching this game once FFXIII releases. You need like... 52mil guild rank points for last rank IIRC

Max rank in a month? lol, we got GR9 like, almost last week and I don't think we're even halfway through. Max guild rank, 15, requires 54,670,000, and with some of the drops in GR10 and above being at sub 1%, plus a whole slew of additional quests, DLC and blah blah that hasn't been released and is still being produced.. Nah, I don't really see most of us being "done" within the next 5 months.

And yeah, I do see myself playing it after max rank, because above all I do actually find the game moderately relaxing and a lot of fun to play.

I do personally see myself playing this for more than 2 more months. I know not everyone enjoys it enough to do all the online content but I do. Yeah I'll be playing other games as well but once I'm done with things like FFXIII and GoW3 I'll be going right back to this. At least thats how I feel right now. Haven't had something this addicting since Monster Hunter.

Best advice is just don't rush it. I could see the game becoming a chore if you log on every day and sit around and just try to grind the hell out of Guild Rank until you pass out. We've been alternating between doing random missions for S Ranks, farming and EXPing, not focusing all too hard on racing to GR15 (Except maybe Pir, but he's just haaaardcore like that).

I've just been grinding levels so far, I'm not even gonna bother going for GR10 soon, I wanna get all my GR9 armor and rebirths out the way first. I've also been going back to few missions I need S rank on also. I actually ended up enjoying this game more than I thought I would.

Agree fully... I don't see myself quitting anytime soon. Maybe when FFXIV comes out, but even then, I'm not sure I want to commit my free time to square enix again.

I really think the people who stick with this game are going to be a mature, tight-knit community who is fun to play with. It's easy to pick up and play, there's no 3+ hour events like dynamis, and you don't have to deal with full alliances... it's a lot easier to get 4 people to show up than 18. Plus there's no lotting drama, 3 to 5 day timers, and camping internet stuff. Also the game has voice chat and I can play it on my lovesac without having to use a keyboard unless I want to.

Not trying to make it into a FFXI vs. WKC argument, but as someone who works a 9-5 and has other stuff going on it's much easier to just "play and go" in this game in comparison to FFXI/WoW/etc.

You know the point I'm trying to make though. I asked my question because I honestly wanted to know. I'm not trying to take away from your enjoyment but on the same point as someone else made, I don't see the community of this game growing that big after the honeymoon is over unless they plan on releasing DLC in a timely manner.

I can follow what you're saying there, but I just don't get the PSU vibe from it, which I also played (as well as PSO) and never really bit too deep into. I think you make a valid point though, past the initial release and given some of the poor press, I imagine the community won't ever see a big surge like something like Demon's Souls did.

I think there's a point that you kind of have to cross before the game really opens up. GR1-9 is painful, but hitting that point opens up a lot of options in quests and things to do. I admit there were points during grinding BSCII where I was tempted to say fuck it, but I'm glad I stuck past the hump that was 7>8.

I suppose the longevity of the game is more of a personal thing than universally based on content and support, but it is Level 5 and Sony, there's content that still isn't out and more in the works ad infinitum. Level 5 has gone on record saying that they'll keep pumping out additional content for WKC until people stop playing it.
