I'm currently GR7, about 400k from GR8. I'm hoping to get the rest of that out of the way tonight, so I can start doing BSCII. In hopes that I do get it tonight, I added Quby, Nel, and Rokku (PSN: CyrilCade) and I'll be looking through some older pages for anyone who might still be interested in grinding GR8 quests for points.

Is there any sort of information on what is required for each upgrade of weapon/armor and what bonuses you get from upgrading that armor? From what I gather, most things will get stat boosts (in addition to the base boost) at level 5, but I'm not sure if that's standard across all items or if it varies.

Haven't came across a list of what's needed for each item upgrade, it'd take awhile to make a list for it due to all armor in game and how many times you can upgrade said armor/weapon. I got INT/SPR/MP on my GR8 Magical armor set at lvl5 which took ages to get.

I'll be able to add you when I run the time out of KoD2, still got about 40-45min left till done.

On that note

Do the skills use a specific percentage like FFXI with 20% STR 20% DEX on some weaponskills? Or can you assume that it is all in or a 50/50 split with 2 variables?

Earn more points. If you're not getting S then you're either A. Not going fast enough to get maximum time points(the case like 80% of the time), or B. You're missing a subquest points

Asking in the chance that there's some subquest I'm missing but if it's seriously speed, that's lame

What eats up the most time is the boss fight, the run is going to take as long as it's going to take and there's not much you can do to speed it up

After I at least get this troll-king mace to drop I'll come run with you if you want

My after dinner ideas:

Since I probably cant max axe and still do elemental, devine and staff. I thought that since you don't need to max longsword to make it useful I can probably get by with doing max elemental/devine and all the stat bonuses then split up longsword and staff to get the skills I need.

Monumental Treasure isn't based so much off time, you need to kill alot of enemies. Just S ranked it with 10400 enemy bonus and finished quest with 35:00 remaining.

I think I'm starting to notice the benefits of AGI finally, my stats are 196 Att 72 Str and 67 Agi and I'm level 49 approaching my first rebirth.

I seem to be doing more damage than other longsword users as well, my Hacks were out damaging another long sword users who had 212 Att 92 Str vs my 196 Att 72 Str. It wasnt by much though, only like 25ish damage but at least its something.

Just curious, but am I the only who carries multiple weapons around? I see the same people use the same weapon all the time. I carry 4 2H swords each with a different element and my staff for when I'm stuck as cure bitch.

I would if I could find where some of the Pebbles etc drop. I cant seem to get them in GR8. (No I don't mean the mini ones, elementals keep giving me minis). Hopefully I'll have better luck in GR9.
