ya from watching walkthrough/gameplay footage it is an action/rpg like FFXII. However the "action circle" seems very obstructive. Can't watch the videos w/o it bugging me. Otherwise ya it has "macros" like FFXI and the fighting style is like FFXII.

its similar ya. i have the JP version. its a bit more active since you got to time stuff to get high combos. fun game, but it does feel very generic and tedious - kinda like FFXI!
Online might be cool though. I'm still looking forward to the NA version
sounds good, thanks.![]()
They say this game is like FFXII and Monster Hunter. What is it more like?
It is boring as hell to watch on Youtube, but then so is monster hunter.

Could just be me, but I didn't think the graphics looked that impressive for a PS3 game. Story looked like it might be good though.
1 of the 3 games i plan to buy for ps3 (Heavy Rain, FF XIII vs.) even though I've had the system since july of 2008. Bought Metal Gear solid 4 (that game is amazing) but yeah I'm looking forward to this, looks awesome!!
Always possible they could refine the graphics more before release, but I know an old, popular pro-RPG argument has been, "We don't care about graphics, we just want a good story!" So I guess some might have to stick to that mantra. I've always found it a bit of a cop-out since I like seeing the genre evolve, but I know every game can't be an SE juggernaut, either.
Dated for Q1 release 2010. Going to include town-building (ala Dark Cloud), and working on voice-chat. Adding a bunch of other stuff and new content also that will be released with the disc, JP's will get a patch for it. Cross-region playing for US and Europe is confirmed also.
Source White Knight Chronicles gets town-building, Q1 release for US
Real damn nice
I was kinda interested in this game but it is taking too long lol. Seems kinda generic anyway tbh. Might pick it up a few weeks after it comes out depending on other reviews of the multiplayer.

Necro, for video. ALso release date is Feb now.
yay, can't wait. I hope it does well enough that WKC2 is localized as well. Isn't that coming out very soon in japan?
Yeah WKC 2 is coming out in Japan early next yar supposedly.
I really enjoyed what I got to play of the game at Comic Con (in San Diego), and the community rep's there gave a lot of info on the game that made it sound terrific. Looking forward to it's release

Level-5 and SCEA would like to add to that list of fantastic titles by announcing the North American release of White Knight Chronicles International Edition February 2, 2010.
White Knight Chronicles International Edition Packfront
The International Edition not only includes the fully localized copy of White Knight Chronicles, but it also comes with the following additional features and content:
* Over 50 disc-based online quests. You can complete these quests solo, or cooperatively with up to three other players to gain extra gear and experience. (That’s just on the disc. Wait until you hear what else we’ll have at launch!)
* Voice Chat. Need we say more? =)
* The Georama. Build an online village for your character where you can invite friends to complete quests online and purchase unique items and gear.
* Live Talk. Leonard and his companions will have side conversations during gameplay, adding a little more character to your travels through the world of White Knight Chronicles.
As much as I want to play this, I would rather wait until after FFXIII releases so I can really devote time into this. Shame on Sony for waiting so long alas (yes, there are a ton of additions but the game is almost 2 years old?). This could have been a primo Christmas release.
This game has me on a roller coaster of want/nthnx, because of the release date... Definitely gonna pick this up I guess, perfect hold over for ffxiii and I'll probably finish it early anyways.
