Tis amazing.
Tis amazing.
Only fighting games I'm ever interested in are doujin fighters and GG. Most other games don't hold my attention.
The only Tekken game I ever liked was Tekken 3, that was a good game.
tekken 3 was the best, they should have made the adventure mode a seperate IP.
CHICKENnnn~
Screw you Virtua Fighter haters. The fighting styles actually feel and play like different fighting styles. God forbid a game require actual time to learn! Jeez, what were those developers thinking putting in all those complex fighting/blocking schemes.
It's not even the complexity that makes the shit suck, it's just not fun, I love the fact that they tried to make it very technical.
Takes a good amount of skill to play it and you'll get fucking raped trying to button mash.
But guess what... 3S takes the same amount of skill but it's actually fun.
Crazy ain't it?
Usually theres only 2-3 characters that play vastly different from the rest. Some games like Brawl manage to make all the characters feel different. But in most fighting games, if you're good with 2-3 characters than you can pick up everyone else with marginal ease.
I just think that it's cool how you literally have to start from the ground up when learning various characters in virtua fighter. Someone can be amazing with Jacky yet can't beat Arcade mode with Lion. Most fighting games aren't like that.
Take street fighter for example. If you know how to use Ryu, then you're automatically half-decent with Ken, Sakura, Akuma, Dan, etc etc.
I don't know, the complexity is what makes it fun to me. Pulling off hard combo's actually feels cool because they're hard to learn/land. I don't think Soul Calibur is that fun, but I understand why people like it. I for one think virtua fighter would be the best fighting game if people actually took the time to get good at it. I guess it's just not flashy enough though.
Competitively is a whole different beast. I'm just referring to playing among friends/with CPU. You know, what 99% of gamers do.
That doesn't change the fact that the complexity you're speaking of DOES exist in the SF games, you're just choosing to ignore it for your argument and it makes you look stupid.
I'm not saying the game can't be complex, I'm saying Virtua Fighter is good because playing the game properly is actually somewhat challenging. You don't learn how to pwn the CPU in virtua fighter in the same amount of time you do Street Fighter or most fighting games.
People who are good at street fighter can beat the CPU in their sleep. Once you get over that hump, it's easy breezy. The challenge comes from playing other people who are amazing. Virtua Fighter simply isn't like that. I'm not trying to sound elitist or discredit SF because I love SF too, you're just being a pussy bitch and taking it as such.
You can beat the CPU in your sleep on any fighting game, don't give me that bullshit.
The CPU follows certain patterns and even if you aren't that great at the game if you can figure out the patterns it's a cakewalk.
Every fighting game comes down to competitive play against other humans, that's pretty much the point of the damn games.
Seriously, if you understood the complexity of games like 3S you wouldn't even be running your flappers.

I bet you don't even understand why that match is awesome.
I don't, only tried it briefly, BUT I believe they did say ANY fighting game, so my point stands.
Oh yeah, and if anyone wants it* in Fight Night Round 3
Spoiler: show
just let me know.
