Points? Yeah, a full thousand points' worth of achievements for the campaign.

# What's it about? The game takes place during the latter half of Halo 2, while Master Chief is kicking it on Delta Halo. You play as a lone ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) stranded in the embattled New Mombasa just after the Prophet of Regret rudely performs a slipspace jump and sunders the city in the process. It's your job to perform mop-up and get the bad guys out of there. Lucky you!
# Does it play like Halo? Yes and no. It's a first-person game set in the Halo universe; in Jarrard's words, it "will feel like a Halo game." At the same time, your ODST is no badass cybernetic supersoldier. He's just "one lone guy in a Covenant-occupied city," which will dictate a more reserved, tactical play style. (I bet Bungie works up some lesser enemies for you to square off with too, though.)

Because its a prequel to three I guess, where have they said it takes place during two, what Ive read it said it was just before 3 started, so would have been between 2 and 3 no?

Eh, as Ive noticed people can make their snide remarks or say what they want, their taking it in a new direction, and people should take the time and watch the gamespot interview about the game, its going to be alot diffrent than halo 3 and its meant to be that way. It also isnt squad based, wante dto throw that out there.

I not exactly the biggest fan of Halo but, in my opinion, they got rid of the exact thing that really made Halo what it was and that was Master Chief. So now instead of playing a supergenetic beefed up Spartan, you are playing a normal guy. I'm of the firm belief that this game will only sell well based off of the Halo 3 name and not really for the content.

Im not a hardcore fan of Halo either, ive played all 3 through and completed then, havent played them much online. I dont much care for master chief or w/e else, I do like the new direction, I think bungie will change alot of peoples POV when they release more about the IP.

Ima buy it cuz im a Halotard, it looks cool but im dissapointed at the lack of Master Chief.

Also whoever said Halo 4; The Halo Trilogy ended With The Ark going BEWM. There will be a 4th game with Master Chief and Cortana but it will more than likely not share the Halo Name.

First, the basics: Halo 3 Recon takes place in Covenant-occupied New Mombasa, which was damaged when the Prophet of Regret's ship jumps into a Slipspace portal during the events of Halo 2. But while Master Chief heads off to fight Regret, a lone UNSC Orbital Shock Drop Trooper lands on the recently-leveled surface of New Mombasa. So while Chief is working his way through the events of Halo 2, this new hero is all alone surrounded by Covenant forces in a devastated urban landscape.

Haha, that last comment reminded me of a comic I read a little while back... How they always send Master Chief in to do the dirty work, and in the process all these hundreds of random marines are getting decimated. In this case, Master Chief is blasting off on his rocket ship, and they send a sole OSDT into a recently-decimated city teeming with enemies ; ;
