So, I figured I would bump this since I just beat the game. I've got some major complaints about it and I wouldn't buy this for more than $30. The controls are pretty shitty, I found myself jumping in directions that weren't expected. The story is 'marginal' but you'll eventually be pissed off at the end. The only real plus side is that it was pretty easy and only took 9hrs~ to beat (got the time achievements as well). I enjoyed it as a fan of the series, but it's a pretty weak installment. Overall, i would say it's a rental unless you are a PoP Fan. =/ Anyone else have a similar experience ?

Big DLC incoming! Adds an Epilogue to the story (so give it closure maybe?), new locations, harder/superior difficulty modes, new Elika powers, new skins, and new combat techniques.. I'm looking forward to it

I'm looking forward to it too, but I can't shake the feeling of being cheated as we pay for all of this DLC. So far, I've bought the Combustible Map Pack, Knothole Island, and Operation: Anchorage, and there's DLC coming for Mirror's Edge, Tomb Raider: Underworld, and now Prince of Persia - and none of these games have been out for more than three months!

I know there were rumblings of the TR:U content being held as DLC for sure, but this is just ridiculous. Sadly though I'm an achievement whore and I'll probably buy all of it anyway.

While I'm getting somewhat tired of paying an additional 10 bucks for relatively small amounts of extra content, PoP turned out to be one of my favorite games of 2007 (I got it for free with coupons at gamestop with my trade of little big planet, which I'm glad I got rid of) and more of a good thing is always welcome in my book.

I've spent like 60 bucks so far on this stuff, I really think it's a bit overpriced in general ;/

How'd you buy LBP in 07 when it came out in 08?

While I agree in some/most cases, it seems like UbiSoft is taking the criticism from the main game and making improvements based on that for the DLC (least that's what they are saying & was mentioned in the article). Haven't heard of many companies attempting to do anything like this for past DLC.

Just beat this game last night. I thought it was pretty good and the ending was not bad, just unsatisfying. You shouldn't have to purchase DLC to get the full experience.

Also, I don't know how the HELL I got the "Be gentle with her" and "Speed Demon" trophies. It seemed like she was saving me pretty often, and I left the game on pause for pretty long periods of time, which I don't think pauses the game clock. I got 52% of the trophies without trying, but that's enough for me. Collecting light seeds is not my idea of fun.

I can recommend this game, it's quite fun, but it has very little replay value.

Edit: The glitches and controls were a tiny bit of a drag. Sometimes he does what he wants despite what I'm pressing. Also, sometime Elika would be floating in mid air... and one time I teleported to an area, everything was slightly greyish like I was standing under the game's color layer, and I pressed the stick to move and fell through the floor and Elika grabbed me. lol

Epilogue is up, but XBox.com doesn't have the new achievements... So you can still unlock them, but they won't be added to your gamerscore. If you get them now, you'll probably have to do an account recovery later to fix it (at least that was the solution when this has happened in the past).

I liked the epilogue, as far as 800 point add-ons go it's certainly a meatier addition than some of the others they've tried to pass up as "worth 10 dollars" for other games. I'd say it has slightly less content than Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage.

The new ending is a tiny bit more satisfying but doesn't really bring anything to a close, all it does it piss people off less than the previous ending. There's still the same potential for a sequel.

While I did miss the whole light seed collection/land healing aspects of the game I felt that the epilogue was actually quite a bit more challenging. Patches of ground were a bit further apart and there were far greater things to trip you up during platforming. It seems as if they listened to people's criticisms of the games when designing the epilogue.

All in all this still falls into my category of "liked, but really wishes this shit didnt cost 10 bucks a pop." Then again I didn't pay full price for the game so I guess I don't have much reason to complain.

I just played through the Epilogue, im starting to wonder why i bothered. i shouldn't really comment on it much more to avoid spoilers, I really liked the game and the original ending, but i do have a question...

Is it safe to trade this in yet or will there be more DLC?
