SCH & DNC relic armor?

Hopefully it won't take that long. But they're fucked either way. If they release SCH&DNC relic/af1+1 and merit 2 categories in the next update or the one after that, BLU/COR/PUPs will bitch at them for doing it so fast but taking 2 years for BLU/COR/PUP relic/af1+1 etc.

If they take 2 years, SCHs and DNCs will spam them with hate mail until the relic and stuff is released.

A happy medium would be nice: not too soon, but not as horribly long as ToAU, either. Although honestly AF1 is so good that I don't see AF2 being any better for those jobs, so for now, who cares.

SE took so long with the ToAU jobs because they wanted to see if they could come up with a good non-Dynamis/Limbus way to do it. Since they didn't, and we know where SCH and DNC relic will be coming from, it's not going to take nearly as long to release the gear.

Yes, because AF and relic is supposed to be used full time as a replacement for Homam, Enkidu, or whatever else end game sets there are. Most relic gear sucks, but some have some usage. Look at DRK relic, it's mostly casting stuff with magic skill increases. Only good is if you need to sleep something, or want a dark magic build for absorbs/drains/aspir.

I'd have to agree with this. I can imagine the main problem of coming up with a non-dynamis means of supplying AFv2 would be fitting in future AFs. Coming up with an entirely new system every time you have a new job isn't exactly efficient. If you only have one system to supply the post-zilart AH, you have to find a way to connect it to the story and make it accessible to all players (i.e. the incredibly unlikely scenario in which most of the fan base doesn't buy the newest expansion almost immediately, putting the TOA jobs in a WOG-only event would cause a piss riot). That's probably why they're just putting it all in Dynamis, only the oldest of the old and incredibly stubborn JPs would not have ROZ.

Really, this might be a sign that SE realizes most people have access to most of the content, so instead of opening new holes in the base area, they might actually expand FROM an expansion area. Problem with that theory is, they could obviously do to Selbina what they did to Mhuara and give it an alternate route to the rest and there's still that elevator in tenshodo that supposedly goes to the docks or something and that could go anywhere. The only place they'd definitely have to connect to from an expansion would be the Far east, cuz Jeuno to the far side of Aradjia would be the longest boat ride ever. I see the connection being from Whitegate, Norg, or both.

Still, I wouldn't expect us to get it before the end of the year. SE likes to take time, pretending it was used seeing how we use our jobs, and then slap some random stats on a palette-swap. Luckily for SCH, AF1 is pretty good already, and as far as DNC is concerned, relic isn't going to do much; the job needs real adjustments before a groundbreaking piece makes the job worthwhile in most situations.

Well, BLU gets nashira/homam/morrigan's/wyrmal. SCH/DNC get nothing yeah.... But I'd be pissed if they put SCH on shadow gear. Most of it is crap and we have better things already, nashira would be omfg.

I was really thinking that way. I have both job lvled and it kinda stinks to have all zenith and some nashira, etc. Yet, those jobs can't even equip it. :/

SE had plenty of opportunity to stick toau job relic or af+1 mats in salvage or einherjar, they just didn't. Not like SE was going to add a totally new zones that weren't on the discs for this stuff.

while I agree some of the other mages[besides rdm] need something, but that seems like silly reason to deny sch access to any endgame armor to me, and dnc really needs something

I understand it's not supposed to be the best piece of gear ever. It's supposed to enhance the Blue Mage job somehow. And does it? Not really. There's no piece that can up the spell points, or any sort of real "blue magic skill" piece (5 skill is not too great for the xarca piece when no other af2 has skill on it). Wheres the "enhances chain affinity" or hell even a "Enhances monster corillation" as situational as that shit is. The entire set is the epitome of random stats thrown together that don't do anything.

BLU body is pretty cool if you don't have Morrigan's, not everyone likes to wear a cloak and it looks nice! And head is like a Saurian Helm-1 but looks nice too. Other than those two pieces though agreed on being a pos, but still if you compare it to AF/AF2 like DRK then can't really complain.
