Square don't listen to these people keep dancer off of Homam so I don't have to level it, but please by all means put sch on nashira atleast.

Either Usukane or Skadi would be really welcome on DNC, though I imagine if SE were to put DNC on Salvage gear it would probably be Skadi. And really, I'm not sure why they haven't. I guess maybe they're afraid to put SCH on the Morrigan set, and so don't want to put DNC on anything either...but if so, then they I think need to look at job balance instead. It is, as one poster said, annoying to have all this end-game gear that your other jobs can use, but have your DNC and/or SCH be stuck with the gear your real gear probably replaced.
I agree with DNC needing adjustments to be more widely useful end-game. Even if they gave us an AF2 body/head with Regain, that would still be gaining TP too slowly to do much aside from debuff the mob. DNC debuffs are nice, but I'm not sure they overcome giving up whatever else you could have put in that party/alliance slot.
what does SCH get out of nashira? honestly?
head: macc ok, not bad but not really that great is it?
body: your af1 body adds more dark magic skill... do you really need haste that bad on sch?
hands: crap compared to golliard hands, do you really want that 1% haste that badly?
legs: af1 legs if you want to land your white magic enfeebles, these are only good for... sleep/grav/bind, all of which (imo) land pretty well with Mahtamha slops
Feet: 5ele skill, ok not bad... Numerist pumps are 4skill, golliard are 2macc and 4int... so that 1 skill and 1% haste that worthwhile?
I really don't see the allure of sch in nashira unless you're really desperate for haste on recast timers. it's not like sch has to wait on Recast timers for casting stun/haste/refresh like other jobs.
I'd like to see SCH and DNC be available on more gear: these two jobs (along with pup) aren't on any abj sets which is pretty silly
Hey only one year left this December :D Unless they just add it then
SCH: Morrigan. Done.
DNC is the difficult one, imo. It doesn't really get anything out of Skagi that it can't get in better pieces and more easily. Usukane offers the most benefits, but fuck you, pool's closed. -_-
I hardly see how giving SCH morrigan's would be game breaking at all, Legs are only slightly better than mahatma by 2 INT which is a minimal increase on a nuke. You wouldn't use body on most nukes because you would be missing the 15 ele skill from af, unless you were using klimaform which can only be used every 3 mins, or if you were nuking something with a low resist rate, which is difficult to do on a SCH even with maxed out ele skill. Hands are only slightly better than Goliard, 1 MAB and 1 MACC, and Head would only be good for normal nukes since Helix spells are greatly more effected by INT. You can't argue that giving SCH refresh on body and ability to use AF hat is broken either, that would be the same as arguing we should take away RDM's ability to do that.
YOU'RE NEVER GETTING MORRIGANS FOR YOUR SCH ALBATROSS.
Just like Im never getting Usu body!
Q.Q
But ya, sch and dnc relic will probably be in the next couple months.
Skadi head: Hardly good for anything, but what else is new?
Skadi hands: Enkidu are better for DNC, but I have Skadi and still don't have Enkidu. YMMV, Enkidu is probably technically easier to get.
Skadi body: This is pretty awesome, but arguably hard to get.
Skadi legs: The only thing I'd compare to these would be Barbarossa's zerehs. For me, it's been way easier and less annoying to get a Salvage static together than an Ashu Talif static...and in an Ashu Talif static, everyone will want the damn zerehs.
Skadi feet: Well, you can't compare anything to these. DNC doesn't get +movement for the same reason BRD doesn't (except that unlike BRD, DNC doesn't have to trudge through dungeons at Feeble Normal Player Speed).
DNC would basically want the same Skadi pieces as THF, about the same number as COR (COR wants the hands, but could buy Hermes' sandals for +movement), and benefits more from the set than BST (who really only care about the feet). I'm not sure about RNG. The real reason DNC won't be on the set is that SE won't give them +movement gear. They also don't get to wear "martial artist" type gear, as Usukane jobs can...but then, PUP can't either, as it barely gets any reasonable normal gear at all.
DNC is an odd job in that it makes a great contribution to a party 1-74, but then at 75 it has very limited usefulness. Doing something like adding it to a Salvage set, which would only boost the job once it hit 75, would be a good move (though still not enough). Either Usukane or Skadi would be welcome.
BLU AF2 legs are a pretty decent piece for a town dynamis one.
Head is better than I thought, but the reason they didn't put 10 or 15 skill on that piece in a similar way they did with RDM and BLM is beyond me.
Regarding SCH AF2, considering how overpowered AF1 is the only thing I could ask is for refresh on the body piece, which would work wonders with AF1 head.
The point is you are downplaying how good would be Morrigan for Sch, Sch its allready better and more flexible than Blm, Morrigan its a little saving grace right now to comfort BLMs and not feel like they wasted all they work leveling and gearing the job when a BLM+2 job has been put into the game.
If you cant see how good would be Morrigan for Sch and how terrible would be for balance vs. Blm then you are just being blind.
How does SCH getting Morrigan's take away from BLM?
BLM still have plenty of areas in which they excel over SCH. They each have their place in the game and giving SCH access to morrigan's wouldn't take away from BLM's usability.
They can still easily out damage SCH on any mob pretty much, and they out shine SCH even more on damage versus higher level mobs. SCH lack the elemental skill to do any serious damage on gods, numerous sea nms, and many other NMs, BCs, or HNMs where BLM can stack all the skill they want to land nukes without resists.
Helices are in the same boat, these spells are highly based off of dINT, and if you're ever played on SCH it's very difficult to get decent numbers on a Helix spell in a situation where a BLM would be nuking. A lot of NMs have very high INT so these spells generally do low damage versus HNMs.
Sure a SCH can use Klimaform to make certain to land a spell without resist, but it's a three minute recast spell. You could argue, "why not just use Alacrity when you use Klimaform to reduce the recast time," well the problem with that is you're taking away a Strategems from other things, a SCH can easily run out of charges if they're constantly switching between light arts/addendum and dark arts/addendum.
Another thing SCH can't exactly touch BLM on is their wide range of sleeping crowd controlling tools. A BLM gets 4 different sleeps, SCH gets 2 different sleeps with Addendum black. SCH CAN make their sleeps AoE, but again you run into a very high recast timer, which can cause serious problems.
BLMs also have the ability to stack Elemental DoTs, which as a BLM you should know not to under estimate. Even a BLM's ability to Stun mobs can be a huge asset to a party, the only way a SCH could get access to stun is by subbing DRK, which effects a SCH's ability to function.
Let's not forget that BLMs also get AMII, we all know how much you guys like to magic burst shit and then die. (JK)
SCH is almost certainly better in a low man situation, they have a wider spectrum of actions, but they certainly can't match or even beat a well geared BLM on the field in which they excel.
So again, I ask, how does SCH getting Morrigan's take away from a BLM? Is it really "ok" to alienate two jobs of FFXI from the majority of end game activities simply because we don't want to make certain jobs feel inferior to the big bad SCHs?
SCH with morrigan's would flat outparse BLM on nearly anything... remind me again why a hybrid job should even come close to a specialist, ever?BLM still have plenty of areas in which they excel over SCH. They each have their place in the game and giving SCH access to morrigan's wouldn't take away from BLM's usability.
Complete and utter bullshit. You don't need ele skill for 90% of endgame, and on the mobs that you do, SCH can just switch to support. SCH with morrigan would outdamage BLM with morrigan. The numbers have been posted before.
Too bad SE decided to give SCH BLM's spells instead of fixing helixes and making it a unique job...Helices are in the same boat, these spells are highly based off of dINT, and if you're ever played on SCH it's very difficult to get decent numbers on a Helix spell in a situation where a BLM would be nuking. A lot of NMs have very high INT so these spells generally do low damage versus HNMs.
Because we can Elemental Seal every 3 minutes... oh wait.Sure a SCH can use Klimaform to make certain to land a spell without resist, but it's a three minute recast spell.
And SCH can hit a few recast timers and switch to copying an entirely different job. Your point?Another thing SCH can't exactly touch BLM on is their wide range of sleeping crowd controlling tools.
I don't see anyone opposed to giving DNC more gear. Is it okay to alienate hundreds of thousands of BLMs, WHMs, SMNs, and RDMs to give more and more and more and more and more to a few thousand selfish SCHs?So again, I ask, how does SCH getting Morrigan's take away from a BLM? Is it really "ok" to alienate two jobs of FFXI from the majority of end game activities simply because we don't want to make certain jobs feel inferior to the big bad SCHs?
BLM has not gotten an update in over 4 years. Wait your turn.
