Looking for "The Buried God" SHNM tips

    Hi all,

Our social LS recently cut a swath through Beadeaux (s) and we manage to gather a pop set for this SHNM. We are going to attempt the fight this weekend, and I am just looking for any tips from anyone who has done this fight. Details about this fight are pretty scarce on the internet.

We have a large pool of jobs we can use, so we are pretty flexible in that respect.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I really don't want to lead us in there totally unprepared and get our asses handed to us. lol

    Thank you in advance

Pretty easy, just have people to tank/kite the adds and kill them 1 at a time while someone holds the boss. The boss's aura gives slow. Have some extra tankish jobs there, he's capable of some hardcore moves. Ore Lob seems to ignore defense or something like that. Did almost identical dmg to me as well as our pld, like 16xx. Lob hit us each solo I believe so dmg might be spread out if it hits more people. Goes through shadows too I think.

Have mages stay way out of range of the boss. His aoe move has added effect petrify and does around 700ish-1kish damage and has a hate reset effect so you'll wanna get your tanks stona'd fast. Rangers and SMNs pwn this BC. It's very easily kited around the debris in the room also.

Don't send all your melee in when he has an aura up. He only has access to his nasty AoE+petrify move when his aura is up. Just send 2 or so of your strongest melee, and have everyone else stay out of range (15'+). Blms, Rngs, Smns, and other non-melee damage help take it down. When the aura goes down, all other melee run in and kick the crap out of him. If the aura goes back up, extra melee back off again.
If you bring a lot of people, consider fighting 2 of the adds at a time to make it easier on the kiter. Also, the kiter should be superkiting so mages can curebomb if necessary.

Did it with i think 14? 1 PLD tank to kite Zhada, we all engaged a blm , nin war drg mnk as melees, nin war off tanked (voked another one) while 1 just ran around after a rdm . I was knocking a good 40% or more hp off one of the adds with 1 raging rush too... Pretty easy fight other then his Big AE mode (Torment of Ghu Da was it?) well our pld died and we still had plenty of time to recover and tank with war nin kiting.

One thing to note, it get a little messy to run Zhada around the whole room, there are 2 wall/tent type things on the 2 sides of where he spawns, you can easily just kite it around there. And reraise for all highly recommended if this is your first time doing it.

Cool thanks all for the responses :D It doesn't sound too bad, just supertank/kite, pick off the helpers, then take it light on the NM when his Aura is up, and go balls to the wall when its down. Sounds like a fun fight!

My LS did this pretty much with 1 Paladin tanking the 2 white mages, 1 Paladin kiting the NM, a samurai solo'ing one Blm, and a Nin that the other DD would /assist to kill the other blm.

Pretty much had the nin/dd go from add to add, killing them all.

We used almost exclusively Blm only damage on the actual boss. Once the aura was down we let the DD go in, but for the most part we just had 5-6 blm spamming Blizz/Thunder III. He doesn't resist SHIT. Blm damage is the way to go on this.

A pretty easy fight, but fun as hell. Also, COOLEST LOOKING mob in the game (when aura is up).

We only brought like, 2 sams and a drg I think. We did slow and steady damage throughout, no zerg. Only had 1 death because our PLD got owned (he tried straight tanking the NM holding it, we underestimated the slow).

I think we had our pld/nin back tanking the NM so he wouldn't get slowed by the aura.
