Yeah, I've compared parses with full Str builds and 1:1 Str/Dex WS builds for raging rush, RR definitely takes into account the Dex vs Agi check. There's no other way to explain my WS crit rate. I'd assume everything else does.

Is there any data to support improved performance with massive DEX? So far the OP just assumes that DEX will increase critical hit rate then eye balls his damage instead of actually using a parser. Genius.

A parse for DEX and non-DEX performance speaks more than SS of how much DEX you can pile on.

Like asked above, what's the point of this thread?

You can find info by reading the forums in BG instead of making new ones asking people to dig it up. page 115 in the What's better? thread; a good read, BG lurkers should be all over that.

From there, each point of DEX has impact on critical hitrate, but the higher you get, the more impact each DEX has. Yes, an Iota ring (for instance) becomes relatively more attractive the higher your DEX-over-mob-AGI is but there's no 'new' crit tier or so, it'll just give an x% increase in critical hitrate relative to your old DEX-over-mob-AGI.

Yes, this isn't the first time I post this today. :3

2% haste vs. 10% crit depends on your haste, your PDIF, etc. Aren't there other slots you can sacrifice? A DEX+5 ring next to a rajas could be an option, a Cuchulain's mantle doesn't hurt (especially if you're not exactly at ACC cap w/o aggressor), and do you have aurum sabatons? 2% haste is quite nice in merits since you're getting marches, haste and hasso. But putting it like that, the 10% crit probably wins.
Also, the point of this is to apply recent crit+% findings into a real build and testing if it's better than the gear previously used. Maybe the OPs execution wasn't spot on, but his idea was.

    Perdu/Ridill, really?

    Massive spoilers ahead:

If you change perdu into a maneater, you will have more attack, more accuracy, a better weaponskill (this is all on mainhand), all for the cost of a bit more delay. The only sword to be dualwielded with ridill is joyeuse.

DEX vs. AGI (dDEX) graph yet again:

    http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/...t/DEXcrits.jpg

The goal of this set is to be able to eat meat to make up for the lack of attack+ pieces having been replaced with DEX+
    Speechless.

    Who gives these people ridills?

imo dont go to the extreme for a dex build and lose your TP haste, DOT damage

theres a pretty good and decent dex build and decent haste too that you can consider. BUT PLEASE DONT DROP THAT MUCH HASTE FOR TP CRIT LOL

just gotta list dex with haste gears you might wanna get for TP:
    Askar Hands
    Aurum hands
    Askar Head
Cuchulain mantle (no haste here but u got the point)
    Ancient torque
    Iota ring or thunder ring

for WS, heca may be decent at all with dex, and i guess its ok to use hachiryu hands but i really dont know if the randomness of your rampage crits will out-do a normal str + dex WS build with heca

and dex build really works well on bird only

My war is going to hit Lv 75 soon, and this is what I plan to use for my future fun-dex-build set up:

    - FFXIAH.com

    Now, I have several questions:

    1) With the said set up, I'd only have 116 dex in total, should I change Brutal earring to Andriot earring instead to hit that 118 dex? Or should I change some gears on other slots?

    2) If my math is correct, seems like no matter what, I'd still be needing Madrigal to cap acc on birds (Even with Lv8 swords), so should I even bother with Perdu hanger or keep using Organics?

    PS: I don't do HNM stuffs, so Ancient Torque/Adaman Hauberk/Iota/etc are definitely out of my reach ^^;

If your doing bird, ridill + joyuese is kinda neat for a dex setup that doesnt compromise too much haste. And with this 2 weapon, you can put brutal aside for TPing, and toss in a pixie earring. But for WS, brutal is a must, even tho both of the weapons dont rely on DA during TP, DA still proc during WS whereas the occasionally attack X times doesnt.

if you have no access to ridill, then brutal is better if you have a 1 hit only weapon.
