There is no rmah for hc.
There is no rmah for hc.
HC is exactly the same as SC except:
* Everything is 100% separate from SC--stash, gold, artisan/blacksmith upgrades, AH completely are all separate.
* No RMAH for HC (yet)
* If you die, you cannot be resurrected, cannot respawn at checkpoint, and cannot enter games on that character anymore. Any gear worn or in the personal inventory of the character is permanently lost.
Now what if I start an HC character, play him for a while, put a bunch of stuff in the stash and he dies as my only HC character? If I start a new HC char, does all that stuff from my old HC stash transfer over and the new HC char has access to it?
Yup.
Well, I'd assume anyway. Didn't personally test this.
Good to know. So once something in stored, there's basically an SC stash and an HC stash that both exist regardless if you have characters on either difficulty. I'd want to check it out to be sure, though I don't really know why it would be an issue as I'd say 99.9% of people will have multiple chars on each difficulty. Doesn't really make sense for us to have to make a "buffer" HC char so the HC stash would stick around if one char died.
Yeah stash/gold/crafter levels should all be independent of the existence/survival of characters on the account. It's possible that they're not. But that would be weird and wrong.
Save yourself the headache and make a mule to hold anything and everything you find as soon as you get it to avoid that all together.
It was tested and confirmed late in the beta. If you've got artisan / stash progress / stash items, you'll retain all that even if you briefly have 0 characters for one of the modes.
cool story bro
It is, isn't it?
wouldnt work anyways, so doesnt matter![]()

Oh. 15,717,300 hp? k. And that's SK at lv61. Some lv63 Diablo is going to be meeeaan. The jump from hell to inferno looks so crazy.
Also some new rare/champ monster affixes.
Light spoiler-ish stuff like achievements, but nothing story-related.
Edit: I also like the 100,000,000 gold One Percenter
>_> If Inferno is as difficult as they make it out to be and the HP values are that fucking crazy from Hell -> Inferno, I don't see HC clearing Diablo w/o some sort of tool assist.
Inferno rule #1 will probably be, if you're a melee class, you're going to die. Period.
That's nothing. Look at the damage from these completely normal mobs:

I think Inferno will be all about never getting hit. Ever. I can't see many characters surviving more than one hit from some of the monsters, considering some of the completely normal ones hit for 170k a hit.
Good fucking lord, yeah lol unless there is some crazy physical damage gear or magic damage gear then there probably wont be much survivability against that, even hell hits pretty hard.
lol @ that. you guys can play hardcore first, be my guest.
Wonder how the ranged vs melee balance is going to be in D3 @ inferno considering in D2 Melee were a complete waste of time unless you were dinging into some epic shit you farmed on your sorc, hammerdin etc. In classic, Rare Lancer WW/Ice Blink barb was crazy but I remember not seeing many melee's at the start of D2. I also remember lots of necro's because of how bad the lag on USeast was, lol.
Suddenly after seeing those stats Witch Doctor looks so much more promising using minions and the eventually aoe CC they get until you can farm up some powerful inferno gear for other classes.
I'm probably not the first to say this but I think Demon Hunter is going to be the dominant class in D3.
