Demon Hunter is really fun but man... soloing is hard. The NPC does a bit of tanking but the enemies always aim for you. I've had problems with crowd control. Still, I'm having a blast.

Smoke Screen should null their interest for its duration. DH has it rough when it comes to low level AoE, though. Things improve a bit with Twin Chakram, but I preferr Multshot with Fire At Will rune since it's not so hampered by enclosed spaces.
Cantrip with bind and vault makes positioning a joke =/
I guess I'm just bad at it. I keep running away and then am only able to get off a few shots before they're on me again. I do use Cantrips.
I kinda like the spider.
I swear Monk with Serenity + Heal rune and Healing Mantra + Sustenance rune = invincible monk all the time. Straight tanking anything and errything.
I'm using the joystick script with my G13, and I'm playing a DH. The setup allows me to literally keep a constant barrage up while strafing away, and if they get too close, pop invis and run around like a rabbit while still popping off shots.
Others have been using the WASD script.
Twin Chakram is just STUPID. I go mostly full damage in my group, but solo.. yeah, I use a mixture of the arrow that slows targets down (or that fast-firing arrow move with slow attached).. and I'm close to Multishot I think. I'm level 20.
ALso, friend of mine d/cing constantly at the spider dungeon.
Just picked the game up. Made a battle.net account, looking to play with some people when I get up and running. I am having a hard time deciding between Demon Hunter or Monk. Mythe#1664 if anyone wants to play with me!
What has been everyones favorite boss fight so far mines been
Spoiler: show
Dude. Cleave with extra fury rune + seismic slam with chance to stun rune. Fucking. Wrecks. My shit.
Butcher practically kills himself, its boring.
Belial was decent, just whack a mole and don't get hit by green explosions when his arms hit the ground.
Azmodan, avoid the lava and you win.
Diablo is just a zerg fight with different phases. I literally don't see how someone can fuck this one up.
Unless Inferno does something special (Actual AI improvement) and not just a fuck ton of HP (Skyrim style). I don't see a challenge with really any of these fights unless your experiencing a shitload of latency/lag.
what the hell man, at least spoil that third boss.
The fights are about as basic as they come (If not easier or simpler to understand than any WoW fight I've seen to date). I'm pretty sure Blizzard had their reasons. As they did with removing the stat point system so casuals wouldn't freak out and actually have to look up what stat does what.
So if I beat the game on normal, can I then join a game on the next difficulty up that is at the last act and beat the game on that difficulty and move to the next difficulty thus basically skipping act 1-3 of the 2nd difficulty? I'm still a bit confused how this works. Seems like rushing someone would be easy, they would just be crazy behind level wise.
scoundrel is awesome. i bring him along just for his wise ass comments
those green explosions on belial are kind of difficult to avoid - the most challenging encounter I faced so far though was NM Auriel
So.. when can you give your Templar NPC a shield on the Demon Hunter? I know there was a bug, but I can't remember. :<
Dude get to Nightmare haha. I died twice in Normal and I've died like 3 times in Act I and not at boss yet. Like D2, Champs / Uniques have more special affixes in the later levels, but these are brutal. Vortex = Can't run away / sucks you back in; then they toss in other shit typically on the Yellow / Uniques. Vortex + Molten or Vortex + Arcane is almost like "okay time to go to last check point."
For those hardcore guys out there, I don't know how you're doing it in this game past Normal. Vortex alone basically means you kill it or it kills you.
Does anyone wanna team up and play at all tonight? I am on act 1, basically just found uh, whats his nuts, Deckard Cane. Got to some graveyard thing, need to explore it. Lv.7 Monk. Anyone at all?
My game is open and my battle.net tag is in my sig. Just join I suppose, not sure how it works but I made the game open to the public.
Need to wrap up some video editing but it's 2am here, just downed a pot of coffee so I'm in it for the long haul. Can be online in like 20-30 minutes. My only char is a level 19 barb though, I might just start a new char if you're only at level 7 so far. That work for you?
