Orders are ridiculously powerful. For example Alicia + Dodge + Defend = chapter 12 in 1 move. When you unlock this for skirmish you can farm exp crazy fast this way though.

Penetration order and Vyse with Double attack will take down anyone that can die.

Though for most of my run through the game, I used Catherine and Marina and the people that I couldn't kill with them, I used Caution/Defense Boosted Alicia. Getting to skirmish 7 made the game easy mode.

I actually really enjoyed the VC anime, one of the better video game to anime adaptations really.
