The story is so much better than the movie... I don't get how its been adapted to film 3 times now and each time they change elements of the story and it never ends up being as good as the original story and yet they've kept trying to make the story 'better'

As for I Am Legend, I liked the movie better than the book. The book was really boring to me for some reason (and I'm not someone who is deterred by reading, quite the opposite really). I'm a Will Smith fan though, so that might have something to do with it... or perhaps just the modern era setting appealed to me more.
