Do you use one?


Just kinda curious, I've always found it funny. Where I grew up (CT) everyone and their mother (that I knew) used a dishwasher, now that I live in Cali, I'm the only one. All my friends here think I'm silly for using one. Just kinda curious to see if one way is more popular than the other.

I moved into an apartment with a bunch of friends and they all think I'm really fucking strange for wanting to use our dishwasher.

Uh dishwashers are awesome? I just moved into a place my buddy owns and he has a sweet drawer-type dishwasher, so it's 2 drawers and therefore, 2 dishwashers. We never really have to unload since you can take out of one and put in the other, then wash!

Some dishwashers are lame and don't really work. Last place I lived it didn't work very well, my new place I can put 3-week old gunked-on plates and they'll be crystal clear in 30mins.

Edit: What's weird is that every time I go to my best friend's house, I volunteer to do her dishes, but I always do it by hand even though she has a dishwasher. I don't know if they even use their own dishwasher.

Ya it took forever to get my bf to use it (now he'd never go back). I think everything thinks it's "wash the dishes before washing the dishes). But srly, with newer washers I don't do anyhting and it takes it all off.

But ya WE just moved into a house with a friend and my friend just won't believe he doesn't need to clean it. XD I keep yelling at him to throw his dishes in dirty and see for himself. Guess it's hard training.

i still rinse my dishes before i throw them in the dishwasher. I can't stand ppl who just throw dishes with food & shit into the dishwasher because it can handle the mess. >_>; Ya got to at least rinse it in the sink or you'll have bugs all over your kitchen...

Hmm I hadn't thought of that. I think the answer is picking up a girl who's way below you. That why she will know she is lucky to have you and will not ask for much, while still doing the dishes.

This way you also end up with a washer/dryer and a cook. Basically a bang maid.
