    FL Assault HNMs

    Just a quick question before we go out and waste a few tags testing it for ourselves tomorrow.

    We were under the impression (maybe from einherjar experience) that the ToAU HNMs build up a resistance to souleater after use, a la how AV does now, and in the same way several other einherjar bosses do like the marid. At least, I'm pretty sure that this is true, it's been a long time since trying it.

    However, in nyzul I decided to SEBW kraken down hydra to speed things up, and it didn't reduce damage the entire time. When hydra died it was still doing full SE added damage, no reductions.

    So I guess the SE-resistance buildup is specified on a per-mob basis, even of the same type, however, we're going to try and clear the FL assaults this week and were curious if the versions in these build resistance to SE. If so, we'll use more conventional strategies, if not, we might try out some gimmicks and see how they fare. Yes, TP feeding, etc etc, that's not the point, just trying to find information on if they do build a resistance to SE or not.

    Thanks in advance if any of you have tested this before and have any idea.

    Pretty sure none of them have SE reduction, the Vampyr and maybe the Dvegr(?) are undead and BW will not work though.

    I am somewhat sure the Dvergr is actually Demon-type. Recall seeing a Samurai intimidate him.

    Dvergr is Demon, Drain works on it.

    I have never used a full-on zerg strategy for these HNM, but for the times I have used Souleater or Souleater has been used, I have not seen any kind of damage reduction on it.

    We always did it in those "OH CRAP" moments at low HP% though, so there could just be a chance it died before it could build resistance.

    well, keep in mind the nyzul hnms are rather heavily modified from the deluxe versions. Notably in defense and resistances.

    It's not like a group of 6 stand a good chance of beating real-hydra, even with items.

    So the assault versions might be vulnerable (also a 6man situation; unlike ein, which can involve 36)... let us know, and gl

    Except theres alot of people that HAVE 6manned "real" hydra.

    You can Melee burn real hydra fairly easily >_>

    We tried to full zerg FL khim, it did not go over so well. zerg from 30>0 was fine though. We did the same thing for king goldemar. Neither resisted SE at all.

    Slightly off topic, but are these FL Assaults tough? I unlocked last night and plan on doing a few pickups on them.

    They're easy as hell if you limit TP, I 1/1ed all of them except cerb with pickups insisting that i was only tank on nin and only one other melee. None of them were at all difficult, including cerb, though it took a few tries because of people listening to strat poorly and mages standing in range of GoH.
