Hellooooo
Don't know if this should go here or in the offtopic-tech forum but oh well
I'm trying to run ffxi on Parallels
I downloaded 3d analyzer and it allows to me to get into ffxi, but all the text is blocks so you can't read anything.
The only option in 3d analyzer I have checked is emulate hw tnl caps. I also tried checking force SW tnl but that didn't change anything.
From doing more lurking around about using 3d analyzer, you also need to change the game to simplified characters. However, when I use 3d analyzer to edit the config, it doesn't actually change when I load ffxi. Like, I also turned off showing the beginning movie but it keeps playing. And when I open back up FFXI config, it's still saved like I had it (so the movie being turned off).
If simplified characters would fix the issue, any idea on how I actually get that going?
If simplified chacaters doesn't fix the issue, any other ideas of what to do? I'd really rather run it on Parallels rather than bootcamp. I don't really care how bad performance is. But since I can't read the text at the moment I can't really do shit.
I also thought about editing the config in bootcamp, figured maybe that would help, but I installed ffxi on the mac drive rather than the windows drive since I didn't partition enough space to install ffxi on there, so when I use the MacDrive app to go into my mac drive in bootcamp and try to run ffxi stuff it doesn't work.
