His window is 9-12 hours after kill/despawn from windy weather. I camped the shit out of this mob and know that he'll be a force pop during single or double weather after the 12 hour mark is reached. Just be prepared to hunker down and wait awhile more after that tho seeing as wind weather sometimes is just as bad as waiting on KV to pop during Sandy Weather.

Wind weather out there is a lot more common during certain seasons of the Vana'diel year, so if you don't want to be out there forever, don't camp during the "dry" seasons.

It pops twice a day and has a fairly high drop rate. The wind weather requirement is annoying, but you can generally multitask due to little/no competition.

I went to camp it 4 times in the past week and each time there has been at least one other group there. Sometimes three or four. Which is as much as on the other side of the zone for the NQ turtle.

The friend I was helping camp it finally got the drop though, so I don't have to go anymore.

As for soloing it....It might be "easy" as NIN/DNC with an NPC buddy that Hastes/Cures you. Otherwise I think it would be fairly challenging. It hits pretty hard and fast. Double attacking pretty frequently and has multihit/shadow wiping TP moves. As MNK/NIN with Dodge up and Eva build it still had pretty high accuracy.

I've seen RDM/NINs do it and that would probably be the actual easiest way to kill it with only one or two people.

A pretty basic point, but worth repeating nonetheless.

When it Stormwinds, it will do it 3x in a row, with NOTHING inbetween. Don't bother casting shadows until you see the third one... in that meantime you can Bloody Bolt, use items, or whatever without fearing of being hit (other than by Stormwind).

I'd imagine if you were really determined an MDB build might be possible to reduce its damage since you won't get hit wearing it <_<

It's -easy- on NIN/DNC with no npc and nothing else, it's acc is terrible and if you have any ninjutsu gear your debuffs stick fine. My evasion build has it at ~20% acc, I'd have to try to die to lose >.>;

I don't own novia any more, but you get the idea. NQs would do fine, and none of that stuff is very hard to get.. kreutzet is not the least bit challenging if you can count to 4 and macro gear.

When you solo this on RDM/NIN, where do you fight / kite it exactly? I am presuming most people Bind / Grav / Nuke it; run it around in the hallway to VoS? Not much room and I can't think of anywhere to drag it to.

In between binds just blink tank it, enfeebles land quite easy so it's easy to para/slow it. Nuke when there's spare MP but keep DoT on it.

I've noticed a big difference in drop rate between having TH2+ and no TH at all, out of the... wow I'd have to say 8 or more I've killed, 4 were with no TH, 2 with TH2 and 2 with TH3/4. 1/2 on TH2, 2/2 on TH3/4, and 0/4 on no TH/TH1. Since this NM sucks so much ass to camp in the first place do yourself a favor and bring TH2+ along with you just to be safe so you don't have to camp the damn thing again when it doesn't drop... =/

I was just wondering what Kreutzet's pop time after window would be? 1-3 hours or 9-12 like usual

To be honest I never really camp Kreutzet like I should for someone who wants their own Kukri for offhand, but I can say that I am 1/1 on the drop... Now getting the actual item, /sigh.
