Computer doesn't boot after power-on until I reset?

I have a weird problem... I have 4GB of dual-channel RAM installed into my computer... and every time I boot it up after powering it down for the night, it hangs on the POST screen until I reset it once. Then, after regular use (usually after 30 minutes or so) I get blue-screened with a memory error... after which my computer works perfectly fine until I power it down again.

Is there something wrong with my system? Vista says that the nForce driver is the problem and to update it... but I updated it to no avail.

Also, if it helps, the blue-screen happens regardless of the amount of ram in my system... but the system only hangs on the first POST when I have more than 2GB of RAM in it.

    Specs:

    Vista Premium
    Gigabyte n650 sli
    GeForce 8600GTS
    4GB corsair RAM
    600W PSU
    Built-in Sound by Realtek
    Dual SATA 320GB HDD, Seagate
    Samsung DVD-R/DL

Have you tried to research the code in the BSOD?

Also, have you checked your BIOS to see if there are any options for limiting memory usage?

Yes, the error code that I get is a page_fault_in_non_paged_area more often than not, and some other times it's some other random nonsense.

No, I haven't checked the BIOS yet for memory options. Is there anything I should specifically do?

You may also want to run a memory stress-test program like memtest86. If one of your memory modules are causing the problem, this utility will let you know.
