Couple this with the fact you get countered for like 200 damage average..

I hate this when im on my THF and start owning my self with triple attack. You only get countered if you are face to face with the mob so for me I just get behind the mob im fighting. If i'm soloing a mob i just turn around for a min or so and wait a little bit for it to go away. If i remember right dispel dosent work at all so not much else you can do.

Don't forget mobs can attack you while chasing you unless you have movement speed up, and you can't attack them if you're chasing them, unless you have movement speed+ and even then you have to run past the mob to hit it.

It's a handy thing in Campaign. Since you get points for taking damage, stand in front of an orc and get countered for a while, then swing behind it and cure yourself, then go back out front again.

you can also get countered when you're standing to the side of the mob.

This is my big issue with it, I don't know how a mob that hits me with normal hits for 35 counters for 170 every goddamn time. And Aern MNKs are just fucking bogus.

Yeah KC against the orcs is good fun. I love it when I'm in campaign and some guy pulls hate and turns the mob toward me. It's especially cool if I'm casting a spell on myself at the time cuz it prevents me from turning around to save myself. I even had a Royal Palliator(sp? the NPC healer guys) kill me once by casting Cure on me after my first round when I was trying to turn around, leading to a second round of attacks which killed me.

2k+ Steel Cyclone, he's at half life, I think the fight is over.

He pops Orcish Counterstance and is all "You're in the OC now, bitch!"

Maxaru's attack is countered by that stupidfaggotorc.
Maxaru takes 362 points of Damage.

Mob Counter ignores DEF maybe?

I actually like this. I only Campaign PLD/DNC so that's self explanatory.

Yeah I usually do PLD/DNC or RDM/PLD, but using Joyeuse it's kind of a bit much sometimes when I get 3 straight procs and all get countered, I can't turn because I need the TP to cure myself, but then I just get beaten down more. It's a vicious cycle, lol.

I try nailing them with Absorb-AGI and Absorb-ACC on DRK when they use it. Every bit helps.

Remember counters can MISS. By putting on your evasion stuff and blinding the enemy his counter rate on you will go down greatly.

By Kuriyami on and Eva gear I can easily solo a normal Campaign Orc even with Counterstance up. NM orcs... well.... don´t even think of it!
