Anyone by chance pick up the guide to the game? So incredibly thick for a single game.

Someone from /v/ did, took pictures of the whole thing and made a giant pdf of it.
Looked like a good quality guide from the few pages he uploaded. Never got around to downloading it though.
@Yuri-G
Make sure to check every single bookshelf you come across, that is where you get Alchemy Recipes. Not sure if that's the only place, I know you get some from side quests to, but I know mostly bookshelves have them.
Curious as to what you guys have for jobs in your party?
Right now I have Minstrel(Hero), Mage, Priest, and Martial Artists. Granted, I haven't looked into what abilities and spells I'll be getting, so I might have to drop some people and re-do my setup.
Minstrel, Paladin, Gladiator x2
Armamentalist, Paladin, Mage, Thief. Also, Liquid Metal Slimes are much love. Much much love.
Doesn't your speed get faster as you level up?Honestly, anytime I encountered a metal slime at Lv1 it would run... I tried this about 30 times (huge waste of my time, and trust me... I was pissed off) then I leveled my guys to about 10 and came back and most of the time they'd stay 1 or 2 turns. I don't think you're quite right on this one Bob.
thanks, I will be sure to check for recipes. I usually check every bookcase and dresser anyway, because you never know what people are hiding in them.
although, side note, it's odd how many people have dressers around their houses but don't actually store anything in them...
right now my jobs are Minstrel w/sword (heroine), Priest w/spear, Mage w/staff, and Thief w/claws. out of the four, the only one I'm not so sure about is spears for my Priest. looking at the classes, I think I want to make him into a Paladin, in which case shield would almost be better.
My party setup is
Sage(Hero)
Gladiator w/ Axe
Armentalist
Martial Artist w/ Fisticuffs
Fisticuffs makes fighting metal monsters so much easier.
Any use for Bo Staff / Fan weapons?
How far into the game do you get to make a party/pick jobs? >.>;
Alright, cool. Only as far as that Hexaplace, game freezing at odd times or ds freezing and making me redo a bunch of stuff has kept me turned off from this game, but I'm planning on picking it back up soon.
I'm digging the game, but took a small break from it. So I imagine I'll run into metal slimes soon? I'm right before fighting the Wight Knight.
Also on the topic of roms.. a longshot, but since my giant box of games is back on the east coast and I won't be back there until at least December..
..Anyone know where I can find a DQVII ISO? Can PM me.
I dunno about that, I beat the next boss after the Wight Knight, traveled to the next town, and haven't run across metal slimes yet. not sure when they'll pop up.
edit: is anyone else more concerned with fashion than function when it comes to equipment? the game isn't that hard so I figure it's not necessary to buy all the best armor. I just made some slime armor through alchemy and it looked absolutely ridiculous, so I reset and am going to keep the Garish Garb on my mage, even though it has a bunch less defense.
I can't be the only person doing this... lol
So much crap to do in Stornway that I haven't bothered to move on after beating the Wight Knight.
and oh god Martial Artists with Fisticuffs wrecks shit like no tomorrow; I hope I can keep this job until the end without having to swap to something else.
Square-Enix hasn't gone full-blown gay yet but maybe the next Final Fantasy will have jock straps for you. Keep hope alive Yuri
