Account item storage?

I have recently started a new character, which lead me to wonder, why isn't there a way to transfer some of my rare/ex event items over to other characters that I own on my account?

For example, I went to last years Fan Festival and got a Nomad Cap, now that I am playing a different character, I can not use my Nomad Cap. Also things like the Sol Cap etc which are fairly difficult to get since they can not be obtained by simply pwning stuff in game are hard to get a second time if you start a second character.

So I was wondering why they don't allow us to have a sort of storage or something that can be accessed by every character linked to your account? Or allow event storage to be accessed by all characters?

I think this is a really good idea. Instead of keep giving us key item storage NPC that doesn't store everything (fullset Limbus AF+1, Abj gears, Aurum/Enkidu/Oracle, Askar/Denali/Goliard, etc), just let us make our own mules to store these rare/ex.

A lot of these gears aren't that difficult to get fullset, and the more you play, the more discouraged you are to go to events due to massive storage shortage, especially if you have many jobs. (eg If you have DRK, THF, BLM, ZNM will need 15 storage from you. I don't see how mog safe can keep up. Why I go to event to toss stuff? So I just don't go at all.)

I know it will probably be very difficult to implement, and it might introduce a lot of quest/trigger/pop related issues. However, they even got level-sync working which is a wonderful idea. I don't see why rare/ex transferring to mule can't be attempted.

Even being able to store AF as individual pieces would free up alot of space.

You do have the option to +1 only the pieces you use and request to store the rest, for AF at least.

^ But then for any actual good AF, you will have a permanent inventory +3-4.

I would love a WotG storage option similar to Mog Locker.
