I thought it was really good, but I never actually played the original. The story was surprisingly good (though your partner is whiny as hell). Would have prefered it if it was a bit harder myself, but it was still a fun playthrough.

The partner in the original had about as much personality as a brick, so I suppose even being super whiny is an improvement. I dunno, maybe I'll try it at some point, sounds almost playable compared to the original.
Apparently not much changed between the games. So if you didn't like the gameplay of the original I wouldn't waste your time. I certainly enjoyed it though.
sadface
ico pulled some heartstrings.
I raged harder at the commenter down the line a bit saying that GTAIV was more moving than MGS4
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUU
When I was like 10, I think I teared for Chrono Cross when

Well, as far as Chrono Cross goes:
Spoiler: show
As for moments in games that made me cry, I'm pretty sure I cried when Aeris died; she was my favorite character in 7 (tied with Red XIII later on).
The subjugation of the faeries in Chrono Cross made me cry once or twice... really I'm prone to crying at a lot of emotional scenes, but it has to have a certain feel to it or else I feel like an ass for NOT caring, hehe.
Xenosaga Episode 3 was epic in the last few hours when you basically learn everything. Especially the near end-final scene between Shion, Allen and Kevin. Idc what anyone says Xenosaga is the shit.
Also lol @ Max Payne review. I think the only remotly good Video Game movie I have seen was Resident Evil. But my god RE would have been amazing if they just would have made it like the original RE with all the charcters and the setting in the fucked up mansion and shit.
I call BS! I cried like a mofo when Zack died in CCFF7.
A certain deathin MGS4 made my eyes water/emotional but I didn't full on cry like WAAAAAAAAH, still though try telling that to anyone who doesn't play games and they think you are weird.Spoiler: show
Go play mother 3 with translation, it will make you cry.
...lol
I choked up at the end of MGS3 and MGS4; not really at the very end of MGS4, was moreSpoiler: show
Got pretty choked up at Ico too, and Shadow of the Colossus. Zelda: Wind Waker didn't necessarily choke me up, but it was damnedably moving.
Never outright cried at a game yet though, but then I haven't done that with a movie either.
Really?
Spoiler: show
MGS2 the part where Otacon's sister, Ema dies, and Lost Odyssey's stories and the part where the mother dies. God those were AWFULLY emotional.
And i thought the Silent Hill movie was a very decent videogame to movie transition.
Silent Hill was pretty good. I'm surprised it wasn't received better
tbh, I almost cried @ Aeris getting shanked... but nothing for Ocelot or Big Boss.
I was like "Wow" with Ocelot, but Big Boss dying? Nothing at all since coming into MGS4 I already thought he was dead.
