Well any sin weapon (regardless of speed) will show up as "very slow attack speed" if the character looking at the weapon isn't a sin. Plus daggers don't have sin skills, lightning sentry, etc. It's a decent weapon, but there are better alternatives out there.

Also, rofl at the spider worth $233.95. I just went back and read it again.

It's a random chance, depending on which type of enemy dropped the claw and the difficulty it was found in.
