Far Cry 2

So who all is getting this one, I know many have been following it im sure and know the ideas behind the game. Personaly cant wait, 50 kilometer's of terrain, handling missions how you want, night and day effected, weapons can wear and tear making it more realistic, the realism of the game is going to be fun.

seems like an interesting concept, hated the gameplay personally though, got bored quick and i hated the aiming system. wasn't my type of game either tho so i didnt continue further into it to see the cool things that sells this game.

Just my type of game.

Getting it for PS3, maybe I'll also pirate the PC version too if any good mods come out for it.

Yeah im having a hard time deciding which version I wanna buy, more than likely pick it up for PS3.

i played the 360 version, got an early copy from maker to help understand the game and sell it better, but honestly i didn't really like it, so that didnt really help my case haha. i'm just selling it off of the cool things that i knew were gonna be in the game that i never ended up making it to. having to look through the iron circle on the end of the gun to aim really sucked to me

Had this last week. if your not playing Fable 2, or wont be playing Fallout 3, i can see this sinking a ton of time out of your gamelife. Its pretty fun. Not perfect, but very fun. Pretty involving, rather deep and thought out, visually stunning, but the firefights simply are not fun. Still worth checking out if you want an alternative to conventional shooter or RPGs at that matter.

Yeah im playing fable 2 now and ill be getting fallout 3, im a couple hours in, not much opinon at this point, wanna keep playing later after the 1st world series game.

Tekki, what do you mean by "the firefights are simply not fun"?

Are we talking like STALKER: Clear Sky where enemies can shoot you from 300 yds away in pitch black darkness without your headlamp on?

My biggest problem with this game is I cant carry a sniper rifle and a machine gun at the same time.

Sniper Rifle is OP. I am going to strictly avoid them on my first playthrough.

I'm a big fan of sniping, and it is lame if im in close combat and all I have is a pistol, agernade launcher and a knife, would like to have a machinegun or shotgun but have to sack my rifle for it, is lame.

Worth noting that the Dart Rifle (silenced sniper with 5 shots) is classed as Special, not Primary.
