I remember playing NFL blitz non-stop for PS1 when it first came out, then I got really good and won an arcade tourney and acted like those guys on MaddenNation.

I loved Killer Instinct in the arcade. Pretty much any fighting game as well. I miss when tournaments were actually held in arcades.

Smash TV, TMNT, Punch Out, Final Fight, Time Crisis, House of the Dead ate a lot of quarters for me.

Er... which X-Men game:
* Konami - The Uncanny X-MEN (sidescroller beat 'em up with old school uniforms) or
* Capcom - X-Men: Children of the Atom (fighter ala' Street Fighter II/Dark Stalkers, with Storm, Psylocke AND Spiral)

Incidentally... Storm/Wolvie and Psylocke/Wolvie.

HYDROOOOOOOOO THUNDER and SF:2049 are probably the only racing games I enjoy at arcades, fuck off Initial D.

TMNT games are pretty fun, but since I grew up playing the console versions I can't really stop bawwing about the difficulty when I have to pay for it.

X-Men was fucking epic when I was a kid, I'd get my dad to take me to Chuck E. Cheese's just so I could play that shit. I found a laser tag arcade that had it 2 years ago, I was so excited.

How has no one mentioned Gauntlet Legends yet, it may not be the highest quality, but it's a quarter-munching addictive game, I've probably spent 50 bucks in quarters on that sucker.
