Most military are still voting republican in this election too as your poll shows, so there's no contradiction here.

Do you have any military statistics for blacks in 2004 showing a significant change? If so, then your case can be made.

Ill look, but as of quick searches I can't... I'll continue to look to back up my claim, but I'll concede until I can back up with more evidence. Apparently Military times didn't do such a poll in 2004 down to these demographics.

Yeah, I've been searching too but can't find it on any site, not even gallup.

All I'm seeing is that 73% of military voted for Bush. It didn't drill down. I found some more numbers on National Review but I wouldn't use them because well, it's not like NRO has any sort of unbiasedness. USA Today referenced the same thing but no direct link to drill down like the one above did.

The blacks in the military in 2004 got caged by the Republicans, so a sizable chunk of them were prevented from voting at all.

Funny, I was in Okinawa during the 04 election. I remembered each and every one of us able to send in absentee ballots.

Too bad they were probably thrown out...

Well, at least if your home is in a "black" neighborhood.

From that article though ... we weren't even given the opportunity too. Which ... is false. I know everyone in my unit was able to get their ballot.

No, the whole point of the article was that they essentially "played a trick" to give them an excuse to throw out a huge amount of votes, not that they like... physically prevented them from mailing them in or something...

You'd have to read the article to know that though.
