PS3 Connection Help

Some background:
Im in college and basically we cant connect consoles to the school network. So no demos or anything for me for quite a while

Well I brought my HDTV to school with me for the room there but when I came back for fall break this past week I didnt wanna haul the HDTV back with me for four days so I just left it, assuming the PS3 would connect fine with the SDTV I have back at home.

Well it doesnt... I get no visual at all even though I know its connected and powered on correctly.
Also, I used to only play on SDTV before I got m HD at the beggining of this school year.

Any way to fix this

had to hold the button for about 7 seconds and it resets to SD
