i guess black on black isn't too bad but i'd laugh pretty hard if i was doing business with a professional and they pull out their business card from a video game product

I'd buy the card case especially, and the goblin key chain if it came with an in-game item. If neither come with an in-game item, I'll probably pass on them both.

Card case looks cool, but yeah, I'm not going to keep that around in any type of professional setting, at least in my industry. I don't think it would reflect too well on me lol. But hey, if I was like a video game programmer, I'd probably hop on it.

Key chains don't look to bad though. Might consider it, although I'm leery after reading how fast their rings tarnished.

99% of people that see it won't know what it means, so what you may not think is professional won't matter to 99% of people. And the 1% of people that knows what it is will probably think it is cool, or at least interesting. It's a no-lose situation if you want one.

It just has the world map on it, that could be anything. But the problem is that when I first glanced it, it looked like it just said FFXI on it, which could be anything, but it looks like it has Final Fantasy XI all written out which is a little bit hurting.

Simple solution when you don't want to expose your geekness in a meeting: develop a technique to grab and open this case while covering the "Final Fantasy XI" text. The world map could be anything, no one outside of the playerbase should be able to recognize it at such a glance anyway.

I don't see the big deal, so many people play MMOs these days I doubt that you would be looked down upon by many people due to just that.
Besides, not everyone even knows what Final Fantasy XI even is. There's probably some who don't know and would be interested in it too.

Don't remember how it came up, but my boss now wants to play because I ended up saying something to him about it. I think he asked me about my hobbies or something, can't really remember (he asked me back when I was still interviewing w/ the company).

Can you imagine being that one douche that pulls out his FFXI business card holder in a business meeting? I don't know if anyone has even been in that environment but others to notice and check out your card holder(s). I see it a lot when we are out and meeting clients, I would feel like a total tool pulling this out.

if I remember right from my japanese language classes, like everyone has a business card, even if it's not business related.. Meeshi, right? (<-forgets) Even Colleges students have them saying what college/major they're in. Probably even HS. So I can imagine that would be a hot seller over there.

I'd want one just cause I already have the bastok keychain.....I still want my baby chocobo plushie though ;;
