At first I cared because I thought that was a FFXI DS Lite, then I read the article, now I'm just disappointed. I would give my left nut for a FFXI DS Lite that looked like that, fuck.

Can you imagine being that one douche that pulls out his FFXI business card holder in a business meeting? I don't know if anyone has even been in that environment but others to notice and check out your card holder(s). I see it a lot when we are out and meeting clients, I would feel like a total tool pulling this out.

Talk about a deal breaker.

if I remember right from my japanese language classes, like everyone has a business card, even if it's not business related.. Meeshi, right? (<-forgets) Even Colleges students have them saying what college/major they're in. Probably even HS. So I can imagine that would be a hot seller over there.

Yeah, that's correct. One of the first things you do when meeting someone new is exchange cards, I believe partially because names can have similar pronunciations but different spellings.

Correction... was thinking of the ShinRa electric business case (which is pretty neat) as well as the old gobbie/mandie straps. Still, i could swear I saw these 3 ffxi items on the old store a few months ago...

I've actually been meaning to get a business card holder, but have been looking around for a nice one. The fact that it says final fantasy xi on it doesn't make it an unprofessional card case, and in fact if you're in the digital media industry the fact that you have something related to movies/games on your card case could even be considered more professional. I need to look at the price though, because i'm already not too sold on buying things online that I don't get to touch and see first in person.

I don't see the big deal, so many people play MMOs these days I doubt that you would be looked down upon by many people due to just that.
Besides, not everyone even knows what Final Fantasy XI even is.

I'm pretty sure that most people figured out what Final Fantasy was by the time they released a major motion picture (that, bizarrely enough, has nothing to do with it). I'd say upwards of 90% of people aged 15-40 know enough to see that card case and think "loser".

Is what you're probably thinking of. Which, now looking at that and the mandy (change # in link to 111) look eerily similar to the key chains in the pictures they posted.

Also, HORY SHIT at the prices of some of the jewelry.
