I got the second a little while before the horse boss. After the horse I got the third piece and saved and turned it off. Gonna start playing some more now.

Having to crouch to find some treasure chests was kind of a weird new feature to me. I've just been crouching in a bunch of obvious places and have found a bunch of items (like drops/music records/etc), but later on you end up getting a helmet which alerts you of their presence.
Has anyone found out exactly how attribute points work? I have 2168 darkness points (used 2 dark drops) and my damage is exactly the same as when it was 168.
Need to go past Cerb for flying gylph. I did the Training Hall and the Secret Cave, and flying is pretty much required for Secret Cave. Also, having no luck getting Training Hall to give Alexandrite, bastards. D:
Attributes raise stats or make your stuff stronger? I dont know but it helps somewhat. It really doesn't matter and I stopped worrying about it once I got to Draculas castle. By then you have every element and stuff shit is weak to is greater then any element number you have.
Yeah I've 100%'d every map except the Large Cavern now. Ending was made of ;_;. Total rate at the moment is 97.30%. Not certain what kind of effects attributes have, but they're supposed to help increase your damage somehow. I have 5.3k Slashing now. Blunt is still only 565, can tell I practically never used blunt stuff.![]()
What weapons should I use/try to get? I just got to Misty Forest road and my damage sucks.
I'm using (A) Confodere/Hasta (B)Secare/Macir right now
I always had Rapiers on A, Axes on B and (Insert whatever magic the enemy I'm fighting at the moment is weak to) on C. Just keep equipping STR gear for melee weapons and INT for magic and you should be fine.
According to the Terms List in the game, the attribute points are supposed to strengthen glyphs. Maybe it speeds them up or lowers the mana cost? I haven't noticed any difference myself.
I used the lance glyph (Hasta) through most of the game and still do quite a bit. The union can hit an enemy up to 3 times and do more damage than the single hit glyphs so I usually unloaded on bosses with this.
I'm at 97.4% completion too after wandering around Dracula's castle for an hour casting Globus in all the rooms trying to find the hidden room I was missing.
I got to the 5th floor (9th room) in the Large Cavern and there was a special boss there with boss music playing. He summoned balls of lightning that slowly followed you around the room and he seemed to summon more after you did more damage to him (or it could be timed as well). I got up to three of the balls following me around before I got hit by one and it did 443 damage to me (I was wearing mostly defense gear so this could be reduced quite a bit, especially if you have the Lightning head pin thing) and killed me. Meanwhile, the boss will use a glyph that you can absorb that summons 2 zombies that just walk along the bottom of the room and are pretty easily killed. Physical attacks are probably the key to beating the boss but I was trying to play conservatively with flying + Globus although I wasn't doing much damage.
Something I noticed is when you beat the 4th and 8th room and have to go downwards to get to the next floor, there's a little opening in the rightside of the cavern wall that looks very conspicuous. I tried just about everything including the Paries glyph (the one that lets you got through walls) but couldn't get anything out of it. It's especially weird because you can walk into the wall slightly in these spots, VERY SUSPICIOUS.
Yeah I've got to the boss a few times. Seems to have an assload of health. I was unloading on him for ages and he didn't go down every time I fought him. Also, you should pick up an Eye of Decay off the floating eyes in Dracula's Castle. Lets you see breakable walls, that thing only leaves my head for boss fights (and Large Cavern now). Need to find out if that boss uses lightning or light based attacks, even though you really don't wanna be getting hit by those orbs anyway. Maybe I'll just put full Barbarian gear on (fuck yeah 6 defence) next time and try zerg him.
That boss never dies. When the seal gets put on him, if you attack him again he comes back to life.
Just got to the shadow guy, he seems interesting. He corners you but doesn't go any further, and he telegraphs all of his attacks but does so really quickly so you have to be quick to avoid them. He has a huge sprite, though, which makes glyphs like Ignis and Luminatio pretty devastating against him.
The only boss who has really given me trouble so far wasMy strategy was to use Vol Scutum against his regular bullets and dodge everything else, but sometimes his shot would pierce my shield. I think it was when Shanoa's sprite was still moving, but I'm not positive, and it was really annoying. I got his medal after trying for a while though, it helps that he shouts out every attack just so you know what's coming. How kind of him.Spoiler: show
I'm tempted to start a New Game just to record how ridiculously easy this fight is, lol. Equip 2x Rapier and STR buff. Slide kick through him and spam Rapier on his back, he'll run away, run at him, slide kick behind him yet again, spam rapier. Repeat until he dies. Only part where you can really fuck that strategy up is when he starts jumping across the room spamming Torpor.
Just beat Large Cavern pretty easily with full Barbarian Armour. Got a Minerva Mail which has meh stats, Knight Mail is better. Anyone get any decent rewards from it or is it only good for finishing 100%?
When you start a new game after beating it, does it erase your old one?
Yeah. Just copy your save to another slot then start New Game+ on that. Once you save it'll overwrite your old one.
About how long is this game in comparison to the others? And is it level based? Or one big area like the others. It seems to be level based via some of the descriptions.
14 levels which are all fairly small, and then Dracula's Castle which is a pretty big level. Then there's 2 extra dungeons which are both real short. My game clear save is something like 11 and a half hours but I did alot of item farming since I'm OCD about trying to get all enemy drops. Probably something like 8~9 hours for a first playthrough normally though.
It's level based but has one very large area (Dracula's Castle) and you can go back and choose previous levels to visit. There are lots teleporters so it's not a big deal getting to where you need. I got I think 12ish hours on the game after getting 100% but there are extra modes after you beat it once.
Beat Large Cavern last night, got a Minerva Mask (sucks). Sounds like you got some nice gear Kiarax, I'm stuck using Royal Crown, Valkyrie Chest and Feet and various rings (Death Ring, Moon Ring, World Ring are the most common for me). I've been thinking about camping out some harder enemies that have 5 star drops to see if they drop some nice equips but I'm also worried that it's just gonna turn out to be Gold Ore or something lame.
I downed the last boss (well, he died and got back up but the door opened so I went through) in Large Cavern although I had to use a Super Potion. I used 2x Hasta and Rapido for glyphs and had STR+ gear mostly. I sometimes switched to Globus to kill the zombies he summons since they die after a certain amount of hits instead of having HP. I saved up my hearts for this fight and unloaded on him with the Hasta union. The most annoying part was that each lightning ball that he conjured moved faster than the previous one so by the end of the fight I was hopping back and forth constantly and only hitting him occasionally.
Where did you get the Crown? That thing looked awesome when I saw the stats. Also what reward did you get from the Large Cavern? I usually use Valkyrie body/feet and Eye of Decay/Treasure Hat (Decay for traveling since it shows breakable walls, hat for farming). For Large Cavern I just used full barbarian since it gives you huge STR/Attack increases and Rapier, Globus and Axes all use STR/Attack for damage. 6 defence means squat when you don't get hit anyway. And yeah, I've got every monster drop bar like 2 or 3 enemies (one being Weapon Master, shitsux ;_;). I actually have an enemy completely missing from the list, do you know what enemy #98 is?
You get the crown from the last quest for the jeweller which asks for Alexandrite. I got it from I think my 4th run of the Training Hall from the last chest, looks like it might be the best head piece in the game.
For farming I was using Treasure Hat and 2x Thief Rings but ya that Barbarian set sounds desirable.
The Weapon Master only drops a Gold Ore and enemy #98 is a Gorgon Head, a gray Medusa Head that appears I think in the northeastern part of Dracula's Castle, although I'm not certain. Just realized I got 100% on the enemies, woot. I only got 52.17% of items and 87.67% of glyphs though D=
It would've been nice if the Enemy List told you where the enemy was located, I can't remember where most of these guys are.
Alright, I'll grab them later. I'm still missing one of the R Glyphs too, got everything else. My item rate is something like 67%. I apparently missed a shitload of stuff, though I'm guessing most of that is store bought stuff that had crappy stats so I never bothered.
I've always been in the habit of breaking walls, so I hardly ever use eye of decay. I use the Dowsing hat that alerts you when buried treasure is nearby. Those are pretty rare to find by yourself except for some pretty obvious locations.
