All I said was that it's easy for Ben to get inflated passer %'s while blitzed, because he usually knows when it's coming, and if he doesn't theres still a large chance that they're going to run the ball anyway.

I really like these NFL threads, wish I had found it earlier. It seems like 80% of the FFXI population has a severe aversion to sports, so much so that you are mocked as a "dumb jock" for having anything beyond a remotely keen interest in them. I wish there was a college one; I love the NFL, but college football is the shit (especially SEC! I'm super biased).

I think Weltall's point is made, I found two other "Top 10" lists from Fox Sports (lol) and ESPN that are quite different than Tyche's or even Weltall's. What I was saying, home field advantage in the NFL, is just that, an advantage. The magnitude of that advantage is significantly smaller than in college mainly due to the maturity of the players in the NFL. Items A and B were the key ones, C was just an afterthought.

As for the "toughest NFL stadium" debate, it is about as subjective as they come. Orchard Park or Lambeau after October must be a bitch though.

I'm sure the Titans fans have been very passionate for the 10 years they've existed. (12 if you include the Tennessee Oiler years).

And you're right, the travelling fans for the Seahawks is certainly very small; it's a small market, never had the success of a Packers, Steelers or Raiders to develop a national fanbase, and the next nearest teams are a multiple hour plane fight away. All these things make it difficult to have any sort of travelling fan base. But I wasn't comparing fan bases, just stadiums.

Well, if you're basing it on the actually difficulty of the game, I'm sure you're right, as Tennessee is really good and Seattle really sucks this year. But as far as actual venues are concerned, I would disagree. Record numbers of false start penalties, shitty weather, looong plane fights, etc. all come with Qwest Field and make it a pain in the ass to play there, above and beyond the fan base and noise. The Seahawks have been a good team the last few years, and it's been a really, really difficult place to play. Just ask the NY Giants and their 11 false start penalties in one game in 2005.

Titans are 18th, Seahawks are 20th. The Seahawks have a "1" in Stadium atmosphere, the Titans a "3". (Lower is better on their scale). Here's a quote from that article:

Since 2003 (Qwest opened in 2002), only one team has a better home record than Seattle (32 wins from 2003 to 2007), and that's the Patriots (34 wins). In that span they have recorded 2 undefeated home seasons (the patriots have 3). Noone else has more than one. The Colts share their home win record (30 wins). Somewhat surprisingly, the Ravens and Chargers have the next best home records at 30 wins. Steelers and Broncos follow them at 29 wins in that span. The Kansis City Chiefs are up there as well with 27 home wins. The titans are sitting at 21 home wins from 03 to 07.
