Help me reactivating my account

so i stoped playing like a year ago and now a friend whos just starting this game wants some of my items and wants to pay for my account being reactivated.
I logged into my account just fine (using my POLID and PW) and i got the message that my acoount was closed and that i need to reactivate it.
I hit reactivate and it goes into that save mode and wants me to give in POLID and PW, i do that and BAM incorrect... even tho i just loged into the account with exactly the same data.

it is asking for Playonline ID and Playonline Password which should be same as the data i use to login into my account ?

Are the account and his POL version from the same region?

hmmm i just checked and hes using the UK POL and i think i used to play with the US one...
gonna see if i can still find my old POL cd's
