Hi Wolf, Crucent here, it may just be SE going bananas with banstick on random ppl. I know others who have had their CC info deleted for no reason at all. Maybe this is just variation on that theme :/

LM-17 is a temp ban, iirc, which can be given for anything from botting to swearing now. Seeing as the ban report just went up, well it was probably in relation to that. You should be able to call, although they're generally pretty incompetent from what I am told, and try to get some information out of them.

This happened to me too. I went on live chat with SE and was told it was a 3 day ban. The 72 hrs are up, but i still cant log on. Some claim that because its the weekend, the ban will be extended till monday, because SE is "closed" weekends....

The lack of information on PoL website is amazing though.

I talked to a girl on Thursday and she explained that some sort of 3rd party tool was detected from my laptop. I don't use any of that stuff and explained this to her, and she just told me to wait until Sunday and I shouldn't have a problem logging in. She explained that SE got a bunch of random accounts, but I shouldn't worry about making a new character or anything like that. Needless to say I wiped everything and installed Windows again since I found some viruses lurking around, so I think that's what they picked up. I just hope I can get my damn character back =/

If SE was a norwegian company (which is where i'm from), it would be their job to prove that youre in violation of the ToS. Just saying "you been using 3rd party tools" wouldnt be enough, they'd have to prove it.

Well I'm waiting for the final verdict, if they give my character back it's all good. If they ban me for w/e reason I'm going to make them show me proof of or screenshots or w/e showing what caused this. All I can do is wait though =/

That would be terrible, MMOs would be infested with rampant cheating even moreso than now.

They'd have to prove it if you were protesting against the ban, saying it's a mistake etc etc. But yeah, i guess youre right, it would quite possibly be an open invitation to more cheats etc. Either way, a very nice GM confirmed to a friend of mine today, after checking my PoL ID, that i'm back in action next jp midnight - so sunday afternoon for me. Seems i've got an extra 24 hrs, that might be because its the weekend though, idk?
