My group works on a priority system, in that everyone has a piece prioritized (ie my piece is Ares Body) so I just try to decide areas based on what area drops what pieces, to make it as evenly as possible for everyone. Though we do go to Arrapago a lot.

When someone gets a 35, we usually dedicate the next few runs to getting them the 25/15 if needed - though so far it's only taken people with 35s a single attempt at the 25/15 piece (except for me... f u LBC).

four runs a week, used to do all four zones per week, but now we dont need zhayolm anymore almost so its either 1Bha 1SS 2 arap or 1B 2SS 1arap. As for routes, we did, say bhoot route till we get ares head, then switch to flayer till we get drop, etc. Same for silvesea.

My group used to cycle through the zones doing 2 Arrp. then 2 SSR and so on like others. The biggest problem I found with doing this was that you're not exactly learning the zones all that well so we weren't really getting efficient in the zones and it was becoming quite frustrating for me as I am the one leading the runs.

The good thing is I run with a group of people that I've been friends with for quite a while now, so we came to an understanding where we chose the 2 zones with the most items wanted from people and everyone was cool with that, so we spam SSR 1st week then we move back to Bhauf. for a week. Doing this we've got really good at the 2 zones and are able to get done everything we want each run. We go twice every Thursday and dedicate run 1 to farming and run 2 to farming/boss for Bhauf. and now in SSR we can do all the farming we want and Boss in one run.

As soon as we're done with one of the zones we'll move to the next, altho seeing as how we havent had one 35 drop from SSR something tells me we'll always be doing that every other week :/

    As per the question regarding Ares Body, my group was hella lucky on QQAA, we went 2/4 when we were doing Arrapago now if only LBC would drop his damn 25 piece for us ; ;
But it's true, you can never plan on knowing when you're gonna complete a set, the old group I used to run with the leader only needed 25 Usu legs from LBC and it took a year before he decided to finally drop them.

The group I'm in does runs twice a week and I usually organize one of the runs. I usually take the following into consideration:

-How many pieces a person has upgraded
-How often people attend (Those who attend more I'm inclined to try for their drops even if they've upgraded more)
-How benefitial the zone is (Is there only 1 drop we could use, or are there 3+?)
-How recent the area was done (I try to rotate things so it's not the same zone all the time. SS will sadly be the exception )
-Will we have a Thf for TH (If not, then Arrapago isn't happening)

I like the idea of rotating zones each week. We may have to try that.

Edit: In regards to the Ares's Cuirass question, Almalexia's answer is the correct one.
My Cuirass was 1/1 for both the 25 & 35 though which I know is very lucky.

We do the boss that people need and farm otw. We give priority to completing a 35. We avoid skipping NMs for a boss though (silversea, arrapago). But even with this, some item take months to complete.

Basically we look at who is in attendance and see which 35s are needed most for those there. If we have a lot show up we split into 2 runs and allocate people per zone according to what drops they need. We do MB's if we have the people/jobs and a couple of people in attendance who have 35's needing completed from the same MB. Haven't done Bhaf in a while because people are sick of killing NQ bees 100 times for nothing and we pretty much are spamming Pago/SSR NMs because they are no dropping whores. The list of people needing Chariot drops and GG's drop is never ending ~.~

A friend used to lead a group that would do three runs a week, so each week, they'd concentrate on one zone. 3x SSR, 3x Arrapago, 3x Bhaflau, 3x Zhayolm, repeat. It was easier to keep track of who wanted what on a weekly basis. Also, I think he said something about how doing one run per week helped them focus a bit more, like, they got better at the zone itself as a group.
I've found this to be true. We have 2 scheduled days. Sometimes we go 3 days a week, at which point we use it to spam a zone that's been particularly annoying, or can possibly complete a piece for someone.

    1/2 deimos cuirass

Had a lot of 0/XXX's after that but that was where it started
Now I have no shell sitting on deimos/enyo's mask and freya's ledelsens

Many of my best Salvage memories involve 0-1 MNKs. I'll take a WAR SAM DRG THF BRD RDM lineup any day.

My situation is kind of odd. Most of my Salvage is "pickup", but within my regular LS; I just have one LS that does everything (except, for the most part, kings). So that pretty much just alternates between the zones, although if more than one person is waiting on 25s from a single boss, we'll generally hammer that.

I also have a static. My first one was in Arrapago, and my current one is in Silver Sea (go figure). We basically picked one zone to do over and over until everyone has what they want.

DRG does well in Salvage? I've thought about having one of our members come DRG sometimes, but always figured that the various AoEs would kill the wyvern too fast.

It depends on the zone, and your objectives. Polearm is nice against piercing-weak gears.

As one of our DRGs says, "Angon makes stuff melt". It should be noted that the two people we have who usually come DRG are really good DRGs, but we have really good MNKs, WARs, and SAMs too. It is, however...readily apparent how much faster NMs die with a good Angon in the liver. And with the recast, they tend to use it on quite a few normal mobs too.

Yeah, mobs like gears and chariots aren't exactly wyvern-friendly, but in my experience that's hardly a deal-breaker. And for bosses, usually a DRG should be able to manage to have their wyvern available when its their turn to 2hour.

A DRG with Ares Body, full Homam and equally good stuff is great for Salvage.

Last week I had one of our members to swap to DRG since she recently dinegd it to 75 and spent merits on Angon. We did BR AR and SSR last week and it worked great for all, but yea the wyvern sure died at times.

A good DRg with good gear works really good for Salvage imo.

The wyvern is a joke anyway, who cares outside first floor.

We made our mnk swap to DRG, angon makes everyones dmg increase, polearm + acc bonus means they're not whiffballing penta on qiqirns, etc etc.

They're good in each and every zone, because DRG also have high staff skill for skele, and if no staff skill there's a good polearm they can use that has blunt DMG.

DRG have to be good though, don't get your full AF2 or fulltime heca DRG buddy to come. Our one knows when to time his jumps and such.

Drakesbane just made them that much better esp with heca.
