Nope? It just turns autocast on/off, doesn't actually trigger it.

So BigRedKitty says that as BM with steady shot and arcane shot he gets 2k dps on the 80 dummy. Is this enough that i should spec back to BM from surv right now? I was getting 1,8k on the ?? dummy so im not sure what I should do.

I tried camping that thing once.. its crazy out there....

like a week ago there was 5 hunters in the area at 5am on a work night (was hoping to sneak and catch one).. I checked at lunch.. usually 2-3 hunters.. checked during raid hours.. same... ;/

95-100% of the hunters that went are surv, pretty much the dps at the top dps of bg's is surv hunters (some by a very large margin).

It scales/does better then dual readyness spec back before 3.08... over 6K dps on thaddius, when before usualy seeing 5K 5.5K seemed high.

Going to miss my raptor qq

(wonder if hunters are going to get nerfed again) especially explosive shot... it scales pretty well with gear... hell even aimed shot scales better then steady shot now.

Raptor is the highest DPS pet now for Hunters :S

SV spec is insanity though; especially in PvP. The new Deterrence is utterly amazing since you can pop it, drop a frost trap, disengage, and then drop 3 LnL Explosive Shots into the melee's face. After that even the best-geared plate classes are close to on their knees.


Also: ExS crit rate is hilarious. I had 100% on Loatheb last night. 5500 DPS in 10-man!

My dps is so low on the training dummy, like 1,6k with 1/19/51.

Tried this 7/57/7 spec and it had like 1,7k.

You're actually not as low as you'd think--on the heroic raid dummy (?? raid boss one), I pull about 2200 DPS using no 30s+ CD's like trinkets or Rapid Fioure. SV scales incredibly well--that 2200 DPS on the dummy translated to almost 4700 on Patchwerk in a 10 man with just about the crappiest raid makeup possible.

edit: crap. logged in PvP gear. "real" gear is t7.10 hat, Rusted Chain-Link Gauntlets, Sealing Ring of Grobbulus, Boots of the Neverending Path, Spectral Rider's Girdle, Sphere of Red Dragon's Blood, and some generic Naxx10 gauntlets with the 110 AP LW enchant.

I got it up to 1.8k with a new spec. I guess its not bad for no naxx10 gear?
