I don't even use pet food anymore, Bloodthirsty(Ferocity) takes care of it all. You could also get the glyph of mend pet(minor), only useful one besides Feign death glyph.

Not talking about feeding it for happiness, talking about pet buff food:
Kibler's Bits - Item - World of Warcraft
Spiced Mammoth Treats - Item - World of Warcraft
Ahh, I have bits too. I don't use them much anymore since my pet only does like 400~ DPS
Just out of morbid curiosity, till I can move up into the higher tier talent trees, which pet is actually seen as best? Got both a cat and a raptor maxed out with me but can't really see a different in damage between the 2 just by judging by sight.
Was lurking around on the ElitistJerks board and couldn't find much on which pet is marginally better. I know it's down to cat, raptor and devilsaur, but does it truly matter which one?
Gorillas are one of the best pets for leveling up, if that's your question (you mentioned higher talent trees); for pure DPS at 80 I think raptors are one of the top picks.
Pretty sure devilsaur is just an overglorified raptor, so not much to be said there. I don't know how cat stacks up anymore.
Can't find the post, but someone on EJ said that raptor will be about 10dps higher than a cat. But in most situations, they are about equal.
Our SV hunter uses a raptor now. I'm pretty sure devilsaurs are the best pets for people who have the ability to tame exotic pets, I think I'll end up using one on my hunter for leveling.
Spirit beasts scale insanely well with raid buffs, and past a certain crit % i believe raptor is best, I can't recall what number it is tho.
Cat/raptor for non-bm are really close, and spirit beast/devilsaur are really close for BM. Devilsaur has problems with it's huge hitbox, makes it get hit by aoe it shouldn't, and taming a spirit beast is hell, there's only one in the game and it's a rare spawn.
Wasps are also a good choice for solo, or in instances if your group is missing faerie fire debuff, but afaik you can't tame any until zangermarsh in outlands.
Yea, I switched it up from Cat to Raptor, but my level is jsut way to low for me to get an approx. estimation on which I like, but I am starting to like my Raptor more. :<
From what I've seen from fights where it's a tank and spank, my raptor and cat do similar damage. Patchwerk had cat/raptor at 530 and 510 so. It's not much difference. I like having the chameleon purple and black raptor so I just go with that.
Back in BC AGI was SV stat of choice as we were pretty much expose weakness whores. With the boost to SV dps in the last past patch, is AGI still the number one stat to go for? I've been focusing more on crit and AP(and hit, but that's a given), but a lot of this comes from gems/gear choices from back when I was BM. I guess I am wondering if I need to re-gem.
Another question, what target values should I be aiming for (mostly pertaining to crit% I guess, but for AGI or anything else that maybe I should be prioritizing)? As it is, once a fight really gets going, and my talents really start clicking I'm looking at over 40-55% crit on many of my shots. I'm thinking this might be too high and I should focus more on AP or AGI(?).
They're not putting in the arrow changes...cryyyyy
They are supposedly increasing ammo count per stack tho, should help.
The latest from the official site:
Update: Hunter Ammo – this functionality has changed. We intend to remove the need for pouches/quivers by greatly increasing the stack sizes on arrows and bullets, and the haste bonus from the bags will be preserved in another fashion. Our original plans were to change ammunition so that hunters would no longer need to utilize bag space, while adding some new functionality that would continue to make ammunition a compelling element of gameplay. Unfortunately, this intended change will not be completely ready in time for patch 3.1.0.
woot, 1k arrow/stack yes prz
Hope its more like 5,000's I use an ungodly amount in 1 run of naxx.... ;/
Think I've used about 6000-8000 in a run (usualy use 3 box's atleast)
Appreciate the answer. Sorry for the noobery, but I'm still curious if anyone knows or has some number guidelines regarding at about what percent will crit begin to put out diminishing returns (especially with regard to SV, with talents pushing the crit on SV hunters up to some pretty high percentages).
Or is +crit a bonus you want to stack more and more of (like haste was in FFXI)?
