There are tricks for 2F QQAs, I dont know details but I managed to solo the first 40% solo like this: cast dots, nuke >run away in another corridor basically... but then it warped.

Everything in arap can be soloed except 6F ( even the usu body NM, done it). For the chariot, done it on rdm/nin with gravity bind dot and nukes in 30ish minutes.
( bind/grav will lasts just a few seconds near the end which makes it hardish, mvt speed must).

All in SS can, prolly not CC.

    Zhaylm only 1F, 3F, and 4F.

    bhaflau: whats the point?

Killing the QQA is like dancing with him. Important notes about this fight:
    - You need to stay at certain ranges.
    - It's a good idea to draw him away from the porter (on floor 2), but not to put yourself into a corner.
    - It's a good idea to keep him away from other mobs (floor 5 gear), just cause you dont want to have to run into that while fighting.
    - Personally, I have a rule to never engage a QQ (any floors) until I know that engaging will defeat the QQ. If they run to far... unclaim seems to be the only reason for losing QQ. This is also true about THF using steal. If a thf uses steal, then runs too far from the QQ but was last to touch it, you have a good shot at losing him.
    - If you let the QQ get out past 30 distance for too long (more so with 40, and 50 is almost a guaranteed loss of QQ,) you run the risk of losing him.

The best way to describe it... (if you were on BLU)

You start off next to him, he will cast, then he will run. He usually stops around 26-28 then runs back a few steps, you move to around 20 so he starts to cast. Depending on the spell he casts, you run away, or get in close (under 13 distance).

If you are close at any point during his nuke, he will run away. If you are in his happy casting distance, he may just sit there nuke again. If you are too far, he will choose to run up to you, or run away. Important to get back into 20-25 distance.

He will start to cast on you. If you can take/blink the spell, try to move into the 26-29 distance range, he will usually chase you back to the place you want him to be.

You'll notice there is a lot of distance playing involved... getting close, moving away. It took me 1-2 QQ before fully understanding the role that distance plays.

I don't see how you'd kill the floor 1 frog solo. 16 monsters plus a mamool and a frog without using cells seems unrealistic for one person. There's a ton of fighting involved to pop the floor 3 frog also. Have you done this or just speculating?

It seems far more possible to do the floor 6 frog solo: dupe a cell on 2, pop the imp, frogs on 4S and 5S.

I remember entering with 3 in salvage, getting all d/c'ed for at least 1 minute (all 3 on the same connexion), maybe 2, then coming back into the zone without being kicked. Maybe this makes the frog pop also ? If so you could solo as rdm or pup or melee/dnc.

afaik, the 5f chariot in AR doesnt link with the ramparts blocking the portal room. The chariot does link with gears and the gears link with the rampart, but I've clean pulled the chariot into the portal room without it linking the rampart, it also ran right through it. It might be a case of the random rampart aggro conditions, but idk

low-man as in, 2-3/4 people for it? i don't see why not. i could see 2x DD/nin BRD and a rdm killing it if you got cells and just went straight up. Could also see blm/3 and a rdm killing it as well.

It's rather easy with 2 DD/NIN, BRD, RDM.. have done it before. I would say that BLM + RDM could duo it if they both had movement speed, just nuke at max range, run until deaggro, other person does it, repeat.. but that's theoretical, I think you can outrun brainjack.

I thought this as well but in the solo LBC LJ entry made a bit ago, Keiko seemed sure it wouldn't be possible.

Yeah, his basis on it being impossible, was that he thought you can't outrun brainjack. You can outrun it, if you're in the perfect distance away when he wants to use brainjack, you'll see the "too far" message. If you're further away from that distance, he'll use a different tp move, inertial steam or discharge. I don't know what the exact distances are for these, but it'll attempt a tp move and if there's no targets in range, he'll pause for a few second before continuing. This occurrence should~ make it easier to deaggro.

But yeah, as said before, if you have 2 people, you have to deaggro it for both people, before it'll go passive.

Don't put both on hate list, just take turns nuking and deaggroing, going opposite directions. It'll make MP less of an issue and essentially be the same strat.

LAC solo should be possible assuming you could outrun Brainjack. It would probably be harder than an LBC solo though because cell drop rates are more random and LAC TP moves more often due to Brainjack phases (bad because throws off kite timing). Also, stun's not reliable on it.

Either way, it costs a lot of meds to attempt, takes a lot of luck, and you need people to help you get in so overall I doubt I'd want to bother attempting something like that again.
