I did it this morning and it was pretty fun. It was Me(hunter), pally(prot), and a priest(holy). Just gathered all of them up and AoE'd them down until NPCs spawned, ended up with 130 shards after 3 camps.

Does anyone know what level it is to get the quest? I want to do them on my 64mage and 63rogue before it ends

ran through the quests and got my 62 mage friend some epics, so i'm guessing 60-61 is the minimum

I got them at 58 (I think, might have just hit 59), so I think the quest level is likely 60-61.

Blessed something of the something somethign stuff...

This set for hunters, basically T4 with haste instead of some MP5 on a few of the pieces, it's not bad to be honest if you're a real casual player.

You can also spend 15 necrotic shards once you've finished "under the shadow" and "shadows of doom" quests for 2 of the pieces (shoulders and hands I believe?), which really isn't that hard...in fact, if you manage to kill one shadow of doom you've guaranteed yourself at least one piece

No they don't drop anything. Thrall and Hellscream have a nice little RP event in the area though.

Is sylvannas just kind of 'there' or is there a lore event tied to her presence (i.e. is she talking to Thrall about the new plague?)

Frost wyrms and huge fat flesh thingies. They don't drop anything but they aren't stopping either. The Frost Wyrms are snatching Orgrimmar NPC's too.

Edit: I'm unable to log in for another two hours (i.e. when I get home), but my friend logged in and saw no Frost Wyrms in Stormwind...are they in Darnassus or something?

No reports of any alliance cities getting attacked. I'd imagine it'd be stormwind eventually (if it does happen) because they relocated the king.

Sylvanas is in Org both to help fight off the scourge and convince Thrall to send forces to Northrend. In the conversation between her, Hellscream, Saurfang and Thrall, she offers to send Putress along with Thrall if he were to agree (which is important for later).

Thrall says he does not want to send forces to Northrend, as it could be a trap. Hellscream and Sylvanas both want to send forces. Hellscream challenges Thrall to a duel and they both head into the arena. Hellscream beats Thrall, but they're interrupted by more scourge invading. Afterwards, Thrall agrees to send forces into Northrend.

SW Harbor is getting dragon'd every 20 minutes

[Correction]

The SW Harbor fight is more satisfying, if only because Varian actually actively fights the mobs. Thrall/Saurfang just run back and forth across the valley and only get to kill mobs that are still alive by the time the rest of the horde/guards are done killing everything else. The duel in Org was cool though.

I have to imagine they will have a second phase or something... Northrend quests refer to the razing of Orgrimmar, and so far this can hardly be called a razing.

If they don't further advance this 'attack' by tonight though there won't be anybody to see it as everyone online Wednesday is just going to park almost all of their 68-70 toons by the ships/zeppelins that will take them to Northrend. Prepar to be unable to log in :D

The smart people should be doing as many quests as they can prior to Thursday then just leaving them unturned in. I've completely filled my Paladin's log with "completed" quests and going to turn them all in once the level cap is raised to get a good 20%ish percent jump into the first level, at which point mass spammage of Utgarde Keep will commence to maximize rep gain.
