I don't mind LOOKING at spiders from a safe distance (behind glass is ok as well)- but if I saw that in my yard, I'd be A: getting a clean pair of underwear and shorts and B: running for the nearest shovel/torch/big bug smashing/burning device.

Spiders can kill you. I assume it's probably partially more of a survival instinct as opposed to some of the crazy ass fears I hear about. Does anyone really like giant spiders? If anything, people who aren't afraid of spiders just possess more of a discipline not to freak out and buy a flamethrower.
