I quit, sold my acc for some hefty change. Bought myself a great new home theatre 52" lcd hd setup with it. Looking back, i realize how trivial most things related to ffxi and this whole rmt view was to begin with. But being in the game, it was hard to see how silly some of my views back then were... especially the whole rmt / ethics arguments.

Can't believe i used to be so wound up over half of the bs surrounding the game. Now, life is good, and I couldn't be happier. What am I saying? Ease up, take things light, live and let live. If something doesnt contribute or take away from your life personally, its not as serious as you make it.

Obviously FFXI and RMT is trivial to you, you don't play any more. You're basically saying "these problems are trivial because I no longer have to deal with them", which is retarded. If we all quit the game we might have the same mind state but not everyone wants to quit, so it's silly to mention.

This is my concept of trivial:

the type of rmt that actively disrupt the gameplay and fun of others to turn a profit (business), might be something to frown upon.

personal / individual transactions, is the sort that has little effect on other's, and really aren't a big deal (like jaywalking).

In either of those cases tho, hatred for another human being over it is silly... as is questioning their morality or ethics over such things (pixels). That said, to each their own. You certainly have the right to see things differently... take it easy.
