I know he's caused the Lakers a Technical before.

Pretty good game last night. A shame about that lob pass/lay-up that wasn't from Courtney Lee. While I don't think it was a 100% shot, I do think as an NBA player, he should have made it.
I like close games. I was nervous about the last 6 minutes of the forth quarter as a Laker fan, and if I am nervous it means it's a damn good game. I hate blowouts.
Lee blew two layups and Orlando "should" have won. I think the match-ups were interesting and I expect to possibly see Turkoglu on Kobe as he played really good defense on Bryant and forced him to make tough shots.
If I wasn't a Laker or Magic fan I would think that this game blew nuts. I think the announcer said the first 2 quarters were the lowest scoring game in finals history. Then both teams were in foul trouble throughout the game, in the 4th quarter there were tons of wide open shots that never went in or went in then flew out.
And
I don't mind this whole 2-3-2 format so much but why would you give a 2 day break after game 1 instead of game 2 when both teams have to travel to the other side of the coast?
Because they're pretending the WNBA has fans and don't want to trample on that many opening games.
I thought last nights game was rather boring, to me it didnt feel like a playoff game at all, felt like a regular season NBA game. The pace was extremly slow. I want a lakers/nuggets series again ;/
i wonder if lakers/cavs would've been faster paced
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FIXED FINALS NBA! WAY TO STEP UP
Nah, I think that's different. Lee had two lay-ups that I could have made, and I'm sure 90% of the time, he would have made them. The Kobe pass to Ariza is a different beast for a couple reasons. Actually passing it to him through traffic, and then the lower % of Ariza shooting the three. Then again, the whole "Should have done this, could have won" thing is crap anyway, but I'm just looking at the more probable possibilities.
I'm pretty sure that if Turk didn't block Kobe's shot it would have went in, which is major props to Turkoglu for making a behind the back block like that.
Either way the Lakers got very lucky with this game, it could have easily been a Magic win in regulation.
turk is gonne be on kobe til the end of the series now
has kobe done well against any other big defender before? all the "kobe stopper" i've seen or that have been labeled so have been of his own size
Once Gasol got away with Goal tending, I knew the Magic had no chance of winning that game.
The Magic will win games 3 and 4, then the Lakers will win game 5, and the Magic will win games 6 and 7.
I don't think they will put Turkoglu on Kobe until it's 4th quarter time. There's no way in hell Turkoglu can guard Kobe for extended periods of time without getting tired or in foul trouble and he's a big part of the Magic offense so I doubt SVG will do it.
I think Pietrus has the same length as Turkoglu anyway, it's just Turkoglu hustled more, which will wear him down even more.
True that was also goal tending too. Everyone also knows that the refs wont call Gasol's goaltend at the end of the game. Or did the refs think in that split second at the end of the game "we should let Pau get away with one since we let Howard get away with one in the first half"?
By that point Jack Nicholson had them scared shitless and they wouldn't have called anything on Gasol.
You are god damn right I ordered the refs to not call anything on Gasol!

This is what a NBA Finals game should look like! All the time!
