It must be embarrassing to live in New York and not know anything about your own state.
Even when the Lakers sucked the NY basketball fans were still rooting for the Lakers over the Knicks.
The only time I've actually heard NY fans rooting for Lebron over their own team was this year, and let's face it they only did that because the press made such a big deal about him going to the Knicks and when a big deal was made about when the NY fans were chanting MVP for Kobe but not for Lebron on his last visit.
Bandwagon fans were willing to ditch the Lakers and follow Kobe wherever he was gonna go. Do I have to connect the dots for you in my every post?
(To make my point even clearer, Kobe doesn't make you money, Kobe HAVING FANS does. I hope your family doesn't let you touch the checkbook or we'll see the great Deejay disappear from these boards because he's dead fuckin broke and without electricity for the PC or food for the dump of shit for a brain.)
Seriously dude, name calling does not win you arguments. Did you actually beat those 2 year olds?
Hey Dimmauk, gimme a call when you realize why what you said is a very dumb comeback to what's in the quote.
edit:
nvm, sorry about that, you deserve a bit more than Deejay's random brain farts for his posts
I'm not actually a diehard Lakers fan or really a bandwagon. I watch games on and off, but I mostly supported the team since I moved to LA in the early 90s.
However I got really disappointed by what Kobe did in that game 7 and I stopped watching the Lakers for a while. That's what I meant when I said they have to earn my support. It doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you play the best you could, yet the biggest superstar on the team not only failed to do that he flatout refused to. It took quite a convincing for me to start to follow Kobe and the team again next season.
Nope. You're wrong.
And Again.
And again.
That quote was from 07-08'. Since the rumor started 2 seasons ago, NO ONE has received more love at the garden than LBJ. Get your facts straight or gtfo.Last time LeBron James played in New York, he exited the floor to "MVP!" chants, a standing ovation, and even a fan coming onto the court to meet him.
Whoa. Because Lee made a documentary? Are you kidding? Are you not aware of the legion of Knicks fans who use the numbers "2010" as their only reason for still following the team?
Seriously. One 50 point game and a documentary doesn't mean New York is in love with Kobe. lmao.
I love how when someone proves you wrong you quickly change the subject in hopes that no one notices.
Um no, case and point: game 3 in this Finals series was the best game I've seen all playoffs, despite Kobe missing all his 4th qtr shots and his 5 FTs.
The thing with you guys is this, you are either a diehard or a bandwagoner. I like the Lakers and I like to see them win, but most of all I want to see a great ball game when I watch them play, and everyone on both teams lay everything out on the court.
Prove me wrong? you haven't proved shit. Go document every game that Kobe and Lebron played vs the Knicks and record every chant and the sounds the crowd makes whenever the Lakers or Cavs score. Then create a survey of more then 1,000 people all across New York to see which team they have been rooting for the past 10 years. When you collect all this data and it's in your favor then you will have proven me wrong.
All your doing is just reinforcing the fact that New York basketball fans don't even like the Knicks.
Kobe Bryant (a good player) decided that the Lakers didn't have enough support for him to stay in LA. So in order for the lakers to keep KOBE happy, they traded for more support in Gasol.
Thus, in keeping the PLAYER happy, they kept their BANDWAGON fans happy. Not the other way around, retard.
Did you just say everything I said back to me and then call me a retard?
LOL, feces for a brain was more of an insult because you wanted to trade names. Now it's just a fact.
Maybe you can't explain because you're too dumb to talk your way out of your dumbass comments.
bandwagon fans don't make teams good. Teams are good and then they receive bandwagon fans. It doesn't happen the other way around. The fan base has little to no effect on the Laker's front office. Their 200 million dollar superstar does. You're an idiot if you believe otherwise.
No, I feel that my words don't do you good any more than dumping a pile of shit on your face. At least you would get some kind of satisfaction from the latter.
Maybe someone else is willing to write up how potential of revenue gain/loss in ticket price/volume is a very powerful factor for team building in sports.
