Comparing Los Angeles to San Antonion is like comparing apples to oranges. Studys show that cities with lower income and higher crime rate are more prone to rioting after their team wins a championship. Most of the time the people doing the rioting are those with pent up grievances. We saw the same thing with the Bulls, Celtics, and Lakers all within the past 19 years. A group of individuals who may/may not be Lakers Fans that cause rioting during unruly celebrations does NOT speak for the whole of that particular city. What you saw on TV were the people that come out of the woodwork and look for trouble just because they feel like the occasion calls for it.

You swear like Riots are an everyday occurrence in Los Angeles. Yes we had a riot back in the early 90's but that was sparked by the Not Guilty sentence for the police officers that beat Rodney King. People took to the streets in anger and there was a domino effect.

Fast forward 15 years later to the May Day melee which wasn't a riot, but more of 6,000 immigrant protesters in Mac Aurthur park clashing with police.
These things do not happen everyday. There isn't a weather person that says "Oh there is a 10% chance of riots today"...if you really think that's how it is, then you have a really terrible sense of reality.
