Fortunately for you, I have no comeback here. Such a shame, since Spurs fans won't be able to celebrate again in our life time for me to post pics and show how every group has their turds.

Maybe the fact that our police officers don't ride on dirtbikes??

You still think that LA is bad for post game riots?
LA doesn't hold a candle to Detroit when it comes to post game rioting as back in 1990 when the Pistons won, 7 people died due to post game rioting and of those 7, six of them were struck by cars, and there were numerous injuries due to stabbings and gunshots. When the Pistons won in 2004 it was more peaceful largely due to the fact that Jimmy Kimmel made a remark on live TV during the Finals that if Detriot won, the city would burn down to the ground. That comment worked in the citys favor as a way to show him that they weren't as bad as he claimed them to be.

LoL I hardly see any minorities in there. Mostly a bunch of older non-colored folks with pit stains... no wonder there were no riots in SA, they had to go to bed early

An NBA executive told the Boston Globe today that the Minnesota Timberwolves is working a deal with the Phoenix Suns that would send former Celtics forward Al Jefferson and their sixth pick in next week's NBA Draft for All-Star Amare Stoudemire.

The Suns, which have dangled Stoudemire for some time, fiound a suitor in Minnesota that is in transition. The team announced today that coach Kevin McHale has ended his 15-year association with the team. New basketball of operations David Kahn is looking to take the franchise into another direction.

The Suns could get Al and Ricky Rubio with the 6th pick. If they get Rubio, they will trade Nash to New York for Lee and Chandler. Then trade Shaq to Cleveland for Big Z and Delonte West. After the Suns trim the leftovers, they would be a very very good team. Everyone should keep an eye on this.

A lot of shit would have to go down for that to happen obviously, but if Nash landed in New York, then oh god. Cleveland can say Good Bye to LeBron.

Haha, didn't Shaq say he would only go to Cleveland if Cavs can make Lebron stay for more than 2 or 3 years?

Why the hell would Shaq care? He's only got 1-2 years left anyway.

Yao Ming says Cleveland move “unknown”

By CHRISTOPHER BODEEN, Associated Press Writer 4 hours, 18 minutes ago

BEIJING (AP)—Rockets center Yao Ming(notes) has called a possible move to Cleveland an “unknown” amid rumors that the Cavaliers’ new Chinese part owners want to sign him.

In a recent interview with his hometown Shanghai TV station, Yao said he continued to have “much affection” for the Houston Rockets, the team that took him in the first round of the 2002 draft and with whom he has played all six of his NBA seasons.

Yao has not won a championship, but said Houston’s drive to the second-round of the playoffs this year had given him hope that the Rockets can contend next season.

Rumors of a possible move to Cleveland have swirled since a group of Chinese investors signed an agreement last month with the Cavaliers to become minority owners. The move is expected to boost the team’s popularity and marketing opportunities in China, where Cleveland star LeBron James(notes) is very popular.

“This is all an unknown,” Yao said in the interview, a transcript of which was posted online Friday.

“I’ve already been with Houston for such a long time, I still have much affection for this team,” he said. “Moreover, this past season we were very successful, and that let me see some hope.”

Cleveland has not publicly expressed interest in Yao, who has one guaranteed year left on his contract with Houston, including a player option for the 2010-11 season.

Yao broke his troublesome left foot in Game 3 of the second-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers, the eventual champions.

The lure of a championship remains strong and Yao conceded to feeling jealous of fellow China national team member Sun Yue(notes), who played for the Lakers.

“There’s a little bit of envy,” Yao said. “If I didn’t have feel even some jealousy, then I’m afraid that really would make me a little too much of a slacker.”

    And now its official!

    Updated: June 23, 2009, 1:31 PM ET
Source: Bucks deal Jefferson to Spurs

    By Chad Ford
    ESPN.com

The Milwaukee Bucks agreed to trade Richard Jefferson to the San Antonio Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto a Bucks source told ESPN.com.

The two teams have agreed to the deal in principle. A trade call to make the deal official is coming later Tuesday.

The move gives the Spurs a dynamic wing scorer to play alongside Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. The Spurs had promised to make their team better this summer and adding Jefferson for role players should give them a huge shot in the arm.

The Bucks incentive to make the trade is largely financial. Bowen, Oberto and Thomas are all in the last year of their contracts. The deal will clear $15 million off the books for the Bucks next season and give Milwaukee more flexibility for next year. It also saves them roughly $3 million this year. That may give the Bucks the wiggle room to sign one of their restricted free agents -- either Charlie Villanueva or Ramon Sessions -- next year.

Bowen, Oberto and Thomas also give the Bucks some veterans who will fill key holes for the team. The move also opens up some playing time for the Bucks lottery pick last year, Joe Alexander.

However, Bowen has a nonguaranteed contract for next season, so the Bucks could release him, further saving about $4 million next season and giving them a better chance of retaining Sessions and Villanueva. In that case, Bowen might return to San Antonio later this summer.

Chad Ford covers the NBA for ESPN.com.

Good move for Spurs offense, horrible move for Spurs defense.

Didn't the NBA try to stop the Spurs from doing this with Jerry Stackhouse a couple years ago?

That was the Mav's and that was mid-season. Sadly he fucked it up for everyone else. But not really, they just get a paid vacation mid-season now instead.

If the team drops him, he can go sign anywhere he wants if someone offers him a contract. He does have to wait 20 days (in the summer and 30 days during the season) after he is waived. Any team can do this, I'm not sure who will want a 38 year old guy.
