Rasheed Wallace: Set to Join Celtics
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com 27 minutes ago
Update: Wallace has committed to sign with the Celtics on July 8 when free agents are able to sign. It is expected to be a two-year deal using the mid-level exception (expected to be about $5.6 to $5.8 million), the Boston Globe reports.
Recommendation: Wallace turned down overtures from Orlando and San Antonio to commit to Boston. He will fit right into the Celtics’ starting lineup alongside Rajon Rondo(notes), Ray Allen(notes), Paul Pierce(notes), and Kevin Garnett(notes). This signing likely means that Glen Davis(notes) will not be in a Celtics uniform next season as San Antonio and Orlando are expected to make sizable offers to Davis after losing out on Sheed.
Jason Kidd: Stays With Dallas
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com 27 minutes ago
Update: Kidd has told the Mavericks he will return to the team after they offered him a three-year contract worth more than $25 million, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Recommendation: New York was also interested in signing Kidd, but the Knicks were reluctant to offer him more than a one-year deal. The Mavericks were eager to re-sign Kidd for many reasons, but namely because he is one of the keys to their pursuit of other free agents in 2010 that may give the organization a better chance to compete for a championship.
Big Baby in a Spurs Uniform? He has a decent jumper, he can rebound, and he is young. Why not?
Also, this pic made me laugh

LeBron gets dunked on by Xavier player, confiscates all video - The Dagger - NCAA Hoops - Rivals.com
On Monday, Jordan Crawford, a sophomore at Xavier (by way of Indiana), reportedly dunked on LeBron during a pick-up game at the LeBron James Skills Academy. Garry Parrish of CBSSports.com wrote that one high school player said, "it was bad". (We can only assume he meant "bad" in the Michael Jackson sort of way.)
LeBron must have agreed, because he had Nike officials confiscate the two videos that were taken of the dunk. (Parrish blames Nike, but reading between the lines it seems like the censorship was orchestrated by LeBron himself.)
omfg that last paragraph had me rolling for a good minute
lmfaoWithout the video, we'll never know. Although, given his past history, I think it's safe to say that LeBron probably walked off the court without shaking Crawford's hand.
Looks like Shawn Marion to Dallas:
Sources: Memphis Grizzlies part of Shawn Marion to Dallas Mavericks trade - ESPN
I heard about this today. Apparently there is a rumor that the dunk was soo bad that the player's nuts were all in Lebrons face. There is also a story that LeBron went up to block a shot and his junk popped out possibly by someone inadvertently getting tangled up in his shorts. You'd think no big deal, but rumor has it that it was that he was embarrassed by the size of his junk or lack-thereof and that's what caused the tape to be confiscated.
And it begins...
But by censoring the tape, LeBron turns the dunk into a legend. On video, it's just a dunk. Without video, the jam can reach mythic proportions. Because nobody can see it, the story of the dunk will grow in stature with each telling. Today, it was a simple two-handed slam. In a few days, it will be a 360-degree windmill. By the time Crawford makes his Xavier debut in October, he will have jumped off LeBron's shoulders, flipped in the air, slammed the ball home with his left pinkie and then handed LeBron $3.99 for his dry cleaning.
Which he deserves, dudes been letting loose his douchebaggery the last couple of months.
Did you know Crawford was wearing Adidas shoes? Nike cant have someone wearing those shoes dunking on someone like Lebron who is the main Nike athlete. Also, when the season starts, you know the media will replay for week the next time a pro dunks on Lebron.
Personally, I dont see what the big deal is. I just chalked it up to slow new day media. Its like when people were asking "WTF is Kobe doing at the MJ funeral?" Same bullshit news.
News about a possible three way trade that would send Boozer to the Bulls. If it happens, it'll give the Bulls a shitload of cap space for 2010 since Boozer's in the last year of his contract and then they can try and get Bosh or Wade, who are both Chicago natives. Very interesting.
I knew it wouldn't be long before someone turned it into a nuts in his face dunk lol. This is why you should check your facts, they talked to the kid today and it was a simple 2 hand slam that was only glorified because it was on James.
I know Nike's basketball camps have always forbid the use of cameras (mainly due to the rampant problem with recruiting players to schools) in their facilities. I specifically remember going through this when one Mr. Antawn Jamison was being recruited here in Charlotte. They held shit tons of games here with Muggsy Bogues, Dell Curry and high school kids and college kids here at that time.
Same thing when Chris Paul was in High school here, Justin Gray, etc.. as I understood it they only used film for their own purposes. They more than likely took them to avoid having them being sold to Adidas or Reebok and having them make ads using it. Just saying, people are making it more that it is because its Lebron lol.
Who cares if he got dunked on? Kobe got dunked on in his own camp last year, Jordan has that tape out of him being owned by some old CEO and Devin Harris got owned one on one vs that kid from england or something.
The difference is that these guys left it alone and now no one even cares about these events. Lebron on the other hand decided to cry about it and try to erase that it ever happened.
