Also, I personally think the Suns stole Jason Richardson. Hi2u 50%+ from behind the arc. Diaw and Bell were roleplayers. Richardson is a starter that can get you 18-20 a night. I think it makes them better.

Yeah I agree. This will create more space Amare and Shaq. Barnes, Rich, and Nash will get some good looks at threes. Sounds alot like a Texas team Terry Porter used to play for.

    so was Shaq, supposedly

ionno, for me, Suns right now is reminiscent of the Mavs collapsing couple of years ago, even though Bell and Diaw in no way compare to Nash

Suns used to be a team I follow at least every other game, but ever since Shaq came they are just no longer as entertaining, and this trade isn't making me like them better

No one is arguing this. With Shaq, the Suns are not even close to what they were. I loved their run and gun, fastbreak style. I hate how they play to Shaq now, but at least they have an outside shooter that's not Barbosa or Nash. It'll open the floor a little more with a real threat out there. I like Diaw and Bell, but they aren't guys that require a lot of attention.

I feel like I'm talking to retarded children here. I give you facts and you answer with stupid little pictures and exaggerations of how great your team is.

Dimmauk: I'm sure your team knows how it feels when your team wins 3 championships back to back and goes from being a dynasty to eliminated the next year right? Oh wait I'm sorry your team has never won back to back titles, let alone 3 in a row. Your team isn't even considered to be a dynasty.

I have nothing against the Spurs except maybe Bowen for being a dirty player, I always thought they were very good matchups whenever they met so I don't know what exactly your problem is.

RakEx: lol what are you 12? I would respond to your post but I don't need the hassle of the cops coming to my house telling me some emo kid cut himself because of something I wrote.

Translation: I can't come up with a good response because you are right and I'm lol5. I know the Lakers have very little to no chance of beating the Cavs or the Celtics this year but it's the regular season and that Lakers beat all the crappy teams in the West by 40 points and I love it. /translation

    Does that sum it up?

And yes, the East is a better conference than the West this year. The top two teams are better than any team in the West and there are no real cupcakes other than the Knicks who can be hot and beat anyone if they shoot well.

    Celtics 131
    Lakers 92

While I agree the East is better than the West this year as a whole, I disagree about the Lakers having "no chance." The Lakers defense has worried me in the past four games or so, while the Cavs/Celtics are hot hot hot. I do think the Lakers would have a chance though.

The East is really talented this year. Celtics, Cavs, Magic, Pistons (Who I always eh over), Hawks (who have been struggling lately with defense), and what not. The East is soooo much better than last year.

The West on the other hand has a struggling Mavs team, a rebounding Spurs team who are finally playing better, the Lakers, the often injured Rockets, the struggling Suns who just traded away two of their roleplayers, and what not, and the Blazers who are still young. Not to mention the Jazz, but they have been sort of average this year, what with Deron Williams being hurt.

I think the West has talent still, especially in the Lakers/Blazers, but I do totally agree that the East as a whole is better.

Also, the whole "What are you 12?" sort of comeback against someone is rather immature. :/ At least this thread isn't as busy as the College Football thread gets or I'd kill myself from typing these long fucking posts.

lol yeah keep talking buddy, I like how you say your not even remotely worried about the Lakers but you can't stop talking about them and analyzing the teams their playing against.

don't use that fake translation tag, cuz you are just saying whatever you want in there instead of making it a proper "translation" burn

don't use "lol5" or "lolFakers" please, they are way outdated from any kind of respectable internet forum, rant or spam

don't post any more. you might not be 12, and if so then you are that middle age fat guy with a second row season ticket and a loud mouth. either way you are annoying the rest of us here trying to hold a discussion and we all want you to go away

i really can't seem to understand how anyone can be a real sports fan if he doesn't appreciate a showing of team spirit by holding some beef against a rival, be it cheering for their opponent or refusing to wear their colors... i mean what else did we learn in college right?

my advice: learn to come up with some real sports criticism, such as talking about how ariza was great for a few games then slumped to his pride, how the suns doesn't need bell to force kobe a bad shooting game, how phil jackson for some stupid reason didn't wanna give up at the end and almost hurt casol in the last minute

dude, "sasha is a weenie cuz he seems upset by watching celtics play?" that's all you can come up with? give me a fucking break

Hrm I don't think you can say the east is better then the west right now. The west have had a lot of injuries in the beginning of the season but they're starting to catch up now.

The Jazz and the Spurs had their guys missing a lot of games due to injuries, so come playoff time they will be their regular selves.

The Suns are messed up right now but they're still holding their own. Then you got the Blazers who have a good chance this year and the Nuggets are getting up their with Chauncey.

I'm still waiting for New Orleans to get their act together, I have no idea what the hell is wrong with them this season. The Rockets are just the same old Rockets so they will still be in contention but will most likely get a first round exit again.

Meanwhile the East has Cleveland and the Celtics, who else? Detroit isn't itself anymore, Philadelphia has been horrible with Brand and the Hawks have sort of dropped off the radar in the past few weeks.

I totally forgot the Nuggets and Hornets. That and I'm still not used to the Hornets being in the West, even though they have been for a while. It's sort of like the Braves in the early 90s when they were in the NL West, lol.

But I dunno. Injuries happen, and I just like the way the top heavy teams of the East are plaing moreso than the top heavy teams of the West. That and the bottomfeeders of the West are awful.

While the Western Conference Southwest is probably the most competitive (what with the 4th place team Dallas being back by only 4 games), I think the Eastern Conference Atlantic the most balanced. Granted Boston will run away with the division, but I'm surprised that the last place team has 9 wins.

am I the only one still skeptical about the Cavs ever being a real championship contender?

LBJ is amazing, but at the end of the day the current Cavs is still a one man team, and we all know those don't come home with rings. Another thing everyone knows is that LBJ is going away as soon as his contract is up, and the reason would be that the team has no ability to really build stars around him to grant his wish

I'll give you that the big teams in the East are playing better then the supposed big teams in the West but I still think its too early to tell. Before this season I would have predicted the Hornets being in 2nd place in the west right now, following by the Rockets/Jazz, Spurs, Mavericks and the Suns respectively.

Honestly I'm really frustrated about the Suns right now, I use to love watching them but ever since they got Shaq they've lost their focus. I understand the Suns defense was horrible, but all they had to do was keep the same offense but add some defense. ALL THEY HAD TO DO. Now they killed their own offense by making Shaq the main guy and their defense is worst then it was in the years before.

I wonder if Raja Bell would have left Mason Jr. alone in the corner for a game winning 3?

Thanks again Suns for another sweet victory.

If it was Raja Bell he probably would have missed the 3 a couple possessions earlier to cut the deficit to 2.

    Bell has made 50
    Richardson has made 42

Doesn't matter Spurs own the Suns.

They took the Celtics to 7 last year and almost beat them. I wouldn't say they just stop. The Cavs would need Lebron to be Wade-esque when he basically won the finals himself a few years back. yeah, he had an aged shaq and big game james posey, but he was so absurdly dominant that they should have made a new award to give him that series. Lebron is leagues ahead of the other guys on the team but they arent scrubs by any means. Mo Williams was a great pick-up, Delonte West is playing better, Wally isn't shooting abysmally like he has been the past couple years, and they have two big men, one who can shoot outside and the other who...well....gets rebounds and misses free throws. They are clearly the second best in a much better eastern conference solely because of Bron, and if he goes down or has an off night, they aren't even a playoff caliber term.

They won't win it though. Celtics vs. Lakers, C's in 6,
