do they have a third brother for next year?

Eh I'm not worried, Bynum was already walking the other day which means the MCL tear isn't causing him instability which means he might be coming back faster then expected. Even if he doesn't as long as hes ok in 12 weeks then I'm fine with it.
I mean no offense to the other western team fans here but the Lakers really don't need Bynum to get past the Western conference. The only team that I can forsee giving the Lakers problems in the West is a completely healthy Rockets team which is lol...and I like Mcgrady but he is pretty much done.
So long as Bynum comes back before the Finals then I really don't mind.
And Powell > Turiaf, Turiaf was very energetic but besides a few blocks and teaching the team some dancing moves he was relatively useless. Powell on the other hand is one hell of a offensive rebounder and has a very reliable jump shot.
Probably should wait and see exactly how this will effect the Lakers before saying "Losing Bynum won't mean much for the Lakers in the West" lol.
Lakers were Western Conference Champs last year without Bynum or Ariza. Since last year what real changes happened in the West?
Billups coming over is one but Denver is still not near the caliber to win the western conference. Everyone else is pretty much the same team.
And btw everyone keeps saying how Bynum is the key to winning the championship for the Lakers, but nobody ever mentions Ariza. This kid was doing way more for the team then Bynum was until 2 weeks ago when Bynum went all crazy. He was one of the biggest reasons we beat the Celtics on christmas day so as I see it, Lakers are still a much better team right now then last year.
when bynum was injured in mid-jan last year, the preliminary report also said 12 weeks
gimme marc gasol!

The Lakers losing Bynum, again, is a huge hit. He was just heating up and then goes down, sucks. Their team is virtually the same as last year, Ariza is nice but not going to compensate that much. If the Lakers had him in the finals last year they weren't winning it, not to mention that Rondo is playing out of his fucking mind this year and Perk gets better as time goes on.
As far as the West goes, the Spurs are absolutely ALWAYS a threat, to say a healthy Rockets are the Lakers only opposition is outlandish (however, I would pick a healthy Rockets team to be right up there with the Lakers, at least in the regular season, before they self-destruct in the playoffs as usual). Timmy is going to be a problem in the post for the Lakers if Bynum is not 100%, but I still pick them slightly over the Spurs as favorites now.
Well I guess thats one way to state the team is good to go.....
Kobe just scored 61 vs the Knicks in MSG
Gasol scored 31 points too... amazing ;o
Yeah I feel bad for Gasol...he just scored 31 points and 14 rebounds and is being overshadowed.
Because you know.. the Lakers are going to play the Knicks for every game, and Kobe is going to score 61 every game. >.>
Pockets full of fun.
A lot of people play the Knicks, very few score 61 against em. Or any team. Kobe is the type of player that can put up 24-8-7 a night or if he feels like it 61. Granted hes not putting 61 up against a team that plays any D.
Final score was something ridiculous like 126-117, against the Knicks.
Fakers.
Yeah. The Lakers D was already struggling a bit as of late, and now without that key Center (Even if his defense wasn't THAT great), they'll probably give up a few more points per game.
Damn what is with all the Laker hate in this thread, it's like talking to a angry mob in here. You guys act like some Laker players came to your house and stabbed your puppy then trained a monkey to take a dump on it.
As for the defense, they only play defense during big games. If you don't believe me look at the team stats and box scores.
Also I think the Lakers have the most possessions per game in the league or something like that, because their offense is pretty fast paced. Therefore the opposing team will get the ball more compared to teams in other games, thus the higher scores. If you don't believe me on that, well then I really don't care.
And lol at Fakers, when the Lakers have the top 1 or 2 most loyal fanbase in the league. Which can't really be said about some franchises out there whos fans were chanting MVP at kobe a few years ago ::coughBoston::.
