They usually bring him out during the playoffs but I would think the only reason hes even still active is because he wants another championship ring, otherwise he would just retire.

So unless the Kings do waive him and the Celtics decide not to add another player to their roster then I guess he would go back. Either way this is a stupid deal.

I just read a comment over on one of the articles about this that really made sense after I a little thought. It basically said the Celtics traded away Cassell and cash for the pick (cash<>pick), expecting the Kings to waive Cassell. After that, the Celtics would be able to sign Cassell as an assistant coach, so in the end this whole trade just allows the Celtics to take Cassell off of the salary cap for players while still doing what he was doing before the trade.

ESPN now reporting that nets and Rockets are talking about trading Vince for McGrady. Guess the Spurs weren't making a good enough offer.

I saw that, but it looks like McGrady's been rejected already by the Nets. They don't want his contract basically from the sound of it. The new deal the Nets counter-offered was Carter and Boone(I think his name was) for Artest, Battier, and a couple other guys. That's the current offer on the table as far as the ESPN article was saying

Lamar Odom is really playing off the charts the past 4 games. He's become the Dennis Rodman of rebounding hes had 17, 18, 19 and 20 rebounds in that order in the past 4 games.

Lamar's been saying that he wants to settle down in LA so I hope this means we're going to see this from him from now on. If he keeps this up, there is no way we are not getting a championship this year, with or without Bynum.
